One of the things that maturity has happily given me is self-confidence and self-assurance. The certainty that, as Antonio Machado's verse says, “the path is made by walking.” I know that when I focus, I can achieve my objectives, reach my goals, and if it's not the right time, the right time will come later, and if I make a mistake, it's not the end of the world. I can look for another goal, I can start over.

Every day is a journey, a new path to travel that awaits us. Nothing is set in stone; many paths can open up every day. Every day is a learning experience. I open the door of my rural house on the Andalusian coast and close by I have the sea, the sky. But beyond that, there are many paths to travel, much to learn and discover. Nothing limits me except my own internal limits. I am where I should be and may my horizons always be open.

Una de las cosas que felizmente me ha dado la madurez es la seguridad y la confianza en mí misma. La certeza de que, como dice el verso de Antonio Machado, “se hace camino al andar”. Sé que cuando me enfoco puedo lograr mis objetivos, alcanzar mis metas, y si no es el momento, llegará el momento después, y si me equivoco no es el fin del mundo. Puedo buscar otro objetivo, puedo volver a empezar.

Cada día es un camino, un sendero nuevo que recorrer que nos espera. Nada está escrito en piedra, muchos caminos pueden abriese cada día. Cada día es un aprendizaje. Abro la puerta de mi casa rural en la costa andaluza y cerca tengo el mar, el cielo. Pero más allá muchos caminos que transitar, mucho por saber y conocer. Nada me limita que no sean mis propios límites internos. Estoy donde debo estar y que mis horizontes sean siempre abiertos.
