Storm.. We Don't Fear No Storms!
Winter Is About To Smack Us ..
So as the weather apps all start flashing warnings .. And the talk of snow totals fills the air, I figured today was as good a day as any to share a couple of older pieces from my studio. These are oil paintings I made a while back, quiet winter landscapes filled with snow covered ground and leafless trees standing still against cold skies. Nothing flashy, just calm, muted scenes that feel familiar this time of year.

With a large winter storm heading our way .. Here in southern NJ and a long cold week ahead, revisiting these paintings feels oddly grounding. They have all the right ingredients to help me mentally settle into what is coming. The stillness, the silence you can almost hear, and the reminder that winter has its own beauty if you slow down enough to notice it. So before the snow starts falling and the temperatures drop, I thought I would put these out there and let them set the tone for the weekend ahead.

Hope You Enjoyed Them ..

Thank you for swinging by my blog and checking out the post. Have a great day!

There are so many good ones, I couldn't pick a favorite! Maybe #1, or #4, or #7 or #8 or #9... I can't pick one!
hahaha.. I couldn't pick one either. lol
The first one is my favorite. I painted that one a good while ago and have always loved it.
It feel quiet to me if that makes sense.
My fav was the first and second painting, but I loved the bare tree landscape too. The quietness of the art brings peace to my soul. Well done!
The first has always been a favorite of mine.
I am quite happy that you found them to be quiet and peaceful since that was what I was shooting for. A fresh snowfall always makes me feel that way.
I totally get that feeling, the beauty blanketing nature is so peaceful. I love standing and taking deep breaths in to enjoy it all.
Those are all so good. I think I like the barn one the best. The reds contrast great with the white of the snow and it makes me think of home since I grew up in farm country.
Same here.. Lots of farms here in southern NJ, but interesting enough not a lot of red barns here. A few, but not a enough to notice that's for sure. Thank you for the nice compliments!
