EVOLVED - The Evolution of Butterflies
Hi, Aliens!
It seems that my work this year is still dominated by the color yellow. Since the beginning of the year, I have been incorporating the color yellow into my art. This particular piece is still connected to the collage I created last Wednesday, which I shared with the #LMAC community, HERE. It draws inspiration from that work, while maintaining the theme of butterflies and the color yellow.
The use of the color yellow is generally associated with positive meanings and specific attractions. Yellow depicts optimism, luxury, focus, and openness. In using the color yellow this time, I aim to create an evolution focused on the main character.

Unlike before, I didn't face difficulty in finding the necessary images this time. The images used in this project were previously saved without a specific purpose, but this time I found an opportunity to integrate them into my work.

The design process still begins with cutting and then placing the images. I continue to use glowing and fog effects, striving for a seamless integration into the dark background.
The next step involves coloring, followed by a Gaussian blur effect. I conclude the process by adding a fog effect using Difference Clouds on the front and slightly on the back. The purpose of the fog effect is to direct attention to the main character in the image, creating a mysterious and slightly dramatic atmosphere.
Furthermore, this time I've added a few light rays effects to the character's head. Using a gradient and changing its type to noise, I created a striking light effect, completed with additional highlights using the brush tool.
The use of yellow color really helped me to stay focused while working on this work. It gave me a sense of calmness in the process.

Absolutely beautiful. This scene would have been perfect for the Rebirth theme. Your choice of yellow for the main color worked well. I love it, especially how you transformed the images for the landscape to appear other worldly. Adding drama with the fog and Gaussian blur (as I do when creating fractals) does give the scene a mysterious glow.
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a good weekend.

Hi, @justclickindiva.
Thank you so much for your lovely words! I'm so glad you like this scene, especially the use of yellow. Somehow, I still can't stop using this color. 😁
Transforming landscape images to look otherworldly is so much fun! And speaking of fractals, after discovering your collection at LMAC Gallery, I think I'm interested in learning how to make them, it seems to fit my style.
Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback and for taking the time to share your thoughts. I wish you a fantastic weekend as well. Take care!
Lovely, I'd like to see your creations. You are welcome, and happy to share my techniques and programs.
Take care.
