Yes after reading the title of this post you probably thought about some culinary dishes that are spoiled during the cooking process or prepared using shock methods for example when blanching vegetables when in order to make it easier to remove the peel from tomato or bell pepper they must first be placed in boiling water and then on the contrary placed in ice water.

So by the way people take a steam bath in the bath first enjoy the hot steam and then dive into the ice hole.

But you will not see hot and cold they will just be jellyfish swimming near the seashore and when there are too many of them it may seem like a shock to a swimmer who is in the midst of jellyfish.

This happened to me and the jellyfish stinged me a lot and I wanted to quickly get ashore.

Only in the photo I wanted to see a lot of jellyfish and I did this by merging a dozen different pictures of jellyfish that I had previously taken and in each picture there was one jellyfish.

Not only the stinging glands of a jellyfish can cause a state of shock.

The shock can be moral and intellectual for example for many years I swam surrounded by jellyfish and talked with people who live on the seashore but no one has ever considered jellyfish as food.

And, more recently I learned that in China they eat jellyfish and dry them getting something similar to a piece of silicon from which you can cook soup and use in other dishes.

I thought that jellyfish when they dry up on the shore dissolve completely under the influence of ultraviolet but as life shows this is not so and this is a shock lol.

Such a shock for me was the next dish of my molecular cuisine.

Interesting images of the jellyfish. I've never had the pleasure of savoring a jellyfish dish, but I'm willing to try it. Do you know how it's prepared?

Thanks for the wonderful comment. I saw some videos in shorts that showed the jellyfish processing plant and making ramen-like soup out of them :)

I'm not so extreme in my choice of food, I've eaten live, freshly caught shrimp, live midi1, snake and badger, but this was probably the most extreme food, except for the food in the canteens at our resorts, this is a real extreme between life and death :)

I see surprisingly snake tasted so good a friend of mine caught one while I was in Sabah Malaysia he boil it first for an hour then he removed the skin. Then he fried it he also put a bowl 🥣 on the side as dipping sauce if I remembered correctly he put chopped chili, a lot of lime, grated onions, garlic, and chili paste. Dip the snake meat on those tasted beautiful but the meat is chewy.
