My very real but fictional journeys - Living on the edge - Walking on distant reflections.

Sometimes our wildest dreams can come true.

Sitting in the bus that was supposed to take me from the Moldovan capital to the provincial wilderness I leafed through the pages of Roger Zelazny's creation "The Nine Princes of Amber".

It was a modest edition of the first part of the work, moment. when the hero of the book after losing his memory saw that he had the power to change reality with the power of his consciousness and move from one reflection invented by him to another.

You know this is what a person can dream of.

You are sitting at home in a boring city in the middle of a cold winter and suddenly you directed your thoughts to something warmer and you are already lying on a sun lounger on the shore of the warm sea and you feel the sea breeze.

It seemed like a fantasy until I started editing photographs and sometimes using them as the basis for some paintings that popped up from my childhood.

I looked out the window and I wanted to change the boring urban landscape which I was already pretty tired of.

Often in order to create something you need to break something, or mix it like plasticine of different colors before I weld it in a steam bath and get the shade I want.

When I realized that it was enough to break everything around it was time to build something and I began to form a street of a small resort town somewhere by the sea.

For many years in a row my parents came with me to the same resort town and settled near the food market.

I can’t understand why we didn’t choose housing near the sea, but, over time I realized that this was a wise decision since everything that was needed was bought on the market and having refueled with everything that the soul wanted one could safely go for the whole day at sea.

My parents were simple Soviet engineers in design institutes and their salary did not allow them to live in a big way but in the evenings everything could be bought on the market cheaper than during the day and they successfully used it.

While they were buying fruit I was looking at the sea creatures in the fish section of the market.

Huge flounder garfish and red mullet crabs and mussels sang a special song of the sea for me.

Simply leafing through the memory of childhood it is difficult to feel all the emotions that visited me many years ago but creating this reality I completely plunged into those memories, as into the reflections I created.
