My very real but fictional journeys - Living on the edge - Road to Jerusalem.

You know I cannot boast that I have traveled the whole world and seen a lot I am more like an astronomer who sits in a chair and looks through the magnifying glasses of his telescope at distant stars, lol.

But this does not deprive me of the opportunity to dream about traveling and make them within the limits of my imagination, the boundaries of which I have not yet reached.

One of the countries where I dreamed of going was Israel.

For me this is a special country not only because I am a Christian, as it turned out after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when my grandmother allegedly Ukrainian according to her passport began to talk more boldly about her past I learned that in my blood there is a part of those who once made the journey from Egypt to the lands promised by the God of Israel.

It's funny but apparently my grandfather's roots come from there because my grandfather's grandfather had a very Jewish name Moses very uncharacteristic for a holder of a USSR passport in which there was a nationality column: russian.

But these are too distant relatives and the geography of archives is too extensive in which it would be possible to collect all the data about my Jewish origin and therefore I am not there yet.

One fine day I firmly decided that I would be in Israel and so I did it.

But by chance in addition to the distance that separated me from this country I pierced the time continuum and ended up 2000 years in the past in the palace of Pontius Pilate at the moment when he tried to convince Jesus Christ to renounce his teaching so that he would be pardoned .

My preparations for this journey were simple I did not have to apply for a visa and buy air tickets all what I had to do was, sharpen my graphite pencils.

I felt the plane take off how the landing gear was lifted off the ground and how the stewart wished everyone a happy flight.

The flight was not easy there were air pockets when the plane fell somewhere down and it seemed that it was a fatal mistake to board this plane because I am not a very experienced passenger who flew only a few times in my life.

But soon I felt the push and whistle of the turbines, which turned on the braking mode on any journey even on a piece of paper it is very important to stop in time.
