My very real but fictional journeys - Living on the edge - Aroma of ripe pear.

Today I want to present to you one of my latest works which I completed in March of this year and have not yet published.

This is a drawing a fictional still life, which I dedicated and gave to my beloved wife as a sign that I love her to the last drop of my blood, to my last breath.

I said with this that I enjoy her aroma I want to be with her and spend time with her on our veranda, our house that I don’t need anyone except her this is evidenced by a small branch near two pears which symbolize my wife and me nearby with her.

I want her dreams of an orchard in front of our house to come true.

A glass overflowing with pear juice is what we have done in our lives and what we still have to do.

I wanted to create a peaceful atmosphere in this painting.

This is probably my first still life that I wanted to draw.

To be honest at the beginning I doubted that I would succeed in this venture.

For me it was not very clear how the picture would look made with graphite pencils and not with paints.

In addition all objects in this picture are fictional that's it how I imagined pears leaves a branch their structure and the structure of the wooden platform of the veranda on the edge of which these pears should lie.

This edge is the edge of the world for two who are happy with each other.

I can’t say that initially I understood how the overall picture would look like everything happened gradually starting with one pear.

When the pears were drawn I realized that I lacked some additional objects that would allow me not only to see the pear but would become an occasion to carefully examine all parts of the drawing in search of interesting details so a glass appeared and later I drew a twig with a leaf.

Then the idea came to draw a wooden plank platform of the veranda.

It can be said separately about the work on the surface texture of pears I had to think a lot about how to depict the texture without having a pear skin sample in front of me.

Gradually step by step I came to a consensus with my requirements for what I wanted to see in this picture.

I wanted my wife to see the drawing and feel the aroma of a ripe pear.
