Probably the most popular answer to the question “What fascinates you about birds?” is something similar to the phrase: “They can fly!”
This is only partly true because many birds either cannot fly or fly so poorly that when I jump up I can fly better than them, but I am not mentioned in this phrase, lol.
Three people who posted photographs of birds in the comments to this post, the three best photographs among all the photographs that I see in the comments, will receive a prize from me in the form of tips to ALIVE and LOLZ.
Yes in this photograph you can see the flight, or take-off, of a seagull with a lot of splashes of water.
But I like to look not only at how birds fly I look for their emotions for example this seagull was either scared, or, conversely it saw a competing seagull that found something tasty and decisively headed for the assault in an attempt to take away for herself at least one piece of what she doesn’t know yet but looks delicious.
I think that we can very rarely see a seagull that simply wanted to fly and surprise us with its aerobatic skills with great pleasure it will simply float on the surface of the water and clean its feathers with its beak.
