A Nice Weekend Breakfast

Hello My Dear Friends in the #WeekendExperiences Group;

How are you; Are you okay? Even though we don't always have a reason to go out or our opportunities do not allow, it is still nice to share some small activities that we can do once in a while or even share trips that we can go on at the invitation of someone else. Yes; Me and my cousins continued this weekend by sitting down for breakfast at a place we had just discovered, since the route we set out for a holiday on Saturday was unfortunately canceled due to mishaps.

In a metropolitan city like Istanbul, it is sometimes surprising to be able to enjoy a quiet, calm breakfast full of delicious tastes among the forests. Istanbul; It is the most populous city in Turkey and at the same time one of the few metropolitan cities in the world. It used to be the capital of the Ottoman Empire, that is, before the Turkish Republic was established a hundred years ago. This big city, which has been the subject of many books, stories, films, and different branches of art, unfortunately experiences the negative consequences of intense population growth in these times. The city is not bad in general, but the exponential population growth will negatively affect this situation.

Şehir genel olarak kötü değil ancak katlanarak artan nüfus artışı bu durumu olumsuz yönde etkileyecektir."

Basically, the most important problem in the unplanned urbanization of Istanbul is wrong policies. The vast majority of investments have always been made in Istanbul. Of course, thanks to this, beautiful places; Breathtaking places where people can spend their weekends have turned into an attraction.

Our plan was very different. We; We wanted to go to the resort town of Igneada, which is about 150 kilometers from Istanbul. Unfortunately, there is no room left in the holiday resort, where we go at least three times a year. Of course, the fact that there were too many bureaucrats there, not only because of those who went for sightseeing, but also because of some projects of the state, caused the hotels to be completely full. For this reason, we canceled our plan and went to a place called Kır Dome, which is a nice breakfast place my uncle used to go to. Bu sebeple biz de planımızı iptal ettik ve amcamın daha önce gittiği güzel bir kahvaltı mekanı olan Kır Kubbe isimli mekana gittik. The place we went was beautiful. After a long forest route, we reached the breakfast place. One of the first things that caught my attention when we entered was that the exterior and interior looked very clean. The floors were very well cleaned, not covered with leaves and arranged in such a way that you would never encounter garbage. Some tables were slightly more exposed, so the sun was shining, but the shaded areas were quite a lot. So we chose ourselves a nice shade table and sat down.

If you have eaten mixed breakfast before or heard the name, I can give you the following advice. For a mixed breakfast, order the amount of breakfast less than the number of people you go to. So if you're going for four, say breakfast for three. Or if you are going to go with 10 people, say breakfast for 7 people. Otherwise, if you say too much, the amount of breakfast is usually too much. Let me give you an example; When we were there for a wedding in Van, Turkey in 2022, we went to breakfast as an extended family. More precisely, we went to breakfast as the men of the big family. About 40 people went to breakfast. But the situation I was upset about was that about 70% of the breakfast was left. So there is a big difference between the breakfast we eat and the breakfast we eat. Unfortunately, we start to leave the food we choose when we are hungry, after a few bites when we start to feel full.

"Gittiğimiz yer çok güzeldi. Uzun bir orman rotasından sonra ulaştık kahvaltı yerine. Girdiğimiz yerde ilk dikkatimi çeken şeylerden birisi, dış ve iç mekanın oldukça temiz görünüyor olmasıydı. Yerler, çok iyi temizlenmiş, yapraklarla örtülü olmayan ve çöplerle asla karşılaşmayacağınız şekilde düzenlenmişti. Kısım kısım bazı masalar biraz daha açıkta kaldığı için güneş vuruyordu, fakat gölge olan yerler oldukça fazlaydı. Biz de kendimize güzel bir gölge masa seçtik ve oturduk."

"Daha önce serpme kahvaltı yediyseniz veya ismini duyduysanız, size şöyle bir tavsiye verebilirim. Serpme kahvaltıda mutlaka gittiğiniz kişi sayısının daha altında kahvaltı miktarı sipariş edin. Yani dört kişi gidecekseniz, üç kişilik kahvaltı söyleyin. Veya 10 kişi gidecek olursanız 7 kişilik kahvaltı söyleyin. Öbür türlü fazla söylerseniz genelde kahvaltı miktarı çok fazla kalıyor. Size bir örnek vereyim; biz 2022 yılında Türkiye'nin Van şehrinde bir düğün için orada bulunduğumuz zaman geniş aile olarak kahvaltıya gittik. Daha doğrusu büyük ailenin erkekleri olarak gittik kahvaltıya. Yaklaşık olarak 40 kişi gittik kahvaltıya. Fakat orada üzüldüğüm durum şu idi, kahvaltının yaklaşık olarak %70'i kaldı. Yani önümüze gelen kahvaltıyla bizim yediğimiz kahvaltı arasında çok fark var. Maalesef aç iken seçtiğimiz yemeği, doymaya başladığımız birkaç lokma sonrasında terk etmeye başlıyoruz."

After breakfast we took a short walk among the trees. There was a very peaceful atmosphere. As you all know, the most important thing that makes us tired this summer is the extremely hot weather. The temperature was high during the time we were there. Since people cannot stay at home, they go to picnic areas to cool off a bit. Of course, each human factor includes a risk factor that can occur in nature. It increases the likelihood that a piece of glass or combustible material will be forgotten.

We left the place after we had our breakfast and then took our walk. Then we went swimming at my uncles site. I will share it with you in another post.

Tabi her bir insan faktörü doğada oluşabilecek bir risk faktörünü içeriyor. Bir parça cam veya yanıcı maddenin unutulma ihtimalini arttırıyor."
