Random art poems #3

So I think my august is turning into a bit of a slam poetry thing because of how much I've been drawing for this mini art journal for my boyfriend. Frankly, I don't really mind, I just hope he'll like this when i give it to him on September.
I think I'll make this a mini series in between all my other art pieces so that I can make better use of my free time, don't you think?
So this is what I've been working on today

And somehow, that really resonated with me. Our relationship has always been one of uncertainty because he travels a lot for work and I also travel for work so to wherever it leads us, I do hope that by the end of the day, I still have someone to hold onto.

As for my progression, well... I really did not take enough progression shots again.

Since I did not have black ink with me in the lab, I had to blacken the whole page with a black pen and that took like 30 minutes for me because of how dark I wanted the page to be XD

then my sketch on the side was pink, yello, orange and brown. These are the color combination I usually go to for skin tones. Unfortunately it's so hard hor me to find a darker orange and a lighter orange that isn't neon. Like it's so hard to find specific colors on pen so I have to keep blending and blending until I get the right color fit. It's a good thing I have a good color perception so I can always manage to pull these kinds of stuff off most of the time.

Lastly, I added the poem and I taped it onto the journal. I've been pretty productive lately because I'm almost halfway through with all the sketches I'm making and all the sketches I still plan to make.
