Hello hello everyone! I'm finally doing something again XD
I've been sick these past few days and aside from that. I've had a really bad art block again ;;-;; I can't even render properly again so my man suggested I go back to scribbles and sketches since they tend to get me motivated and he also says it's good to take a step back and return to the messy basics. That to which I completely agree with ;;-;;
I was looking at the holo creatures I haven't drawn much and I noticed the birds so I thought I would do lots of birds for the time being since I needed to focus on something instead of being all over the place again XD

I would have done this on paper but I left my art supplies in the lab since I usually draw there these days. I just bring my tab with me everywhere in case I get my drawing mood back.
And I also forgot to take a lot of progression shots XD with like an hour of drawing time, I doubt I could take that many anyways UwU
I initially started with the background then went on doing a really rough sketch. Like really really rough with mostly scribble and all. I wasn't actually satisfied with how the black and white turned out so I worked a bit of color with the same pencil brush. I guess it came off as a bit of a pencil color thing?
Then I built up my color and tried to ad feather detail. But I lacked focus so this as far as I go with this
Well, that's all from me for today. I have a movie date with my man UwU

So everyone is getting sick lately huh. It rained here yesterday and I can already see the sudden change in temperature affecting people and not in a good way. I also took a week off because of that and man you are right. It's better to start doing it slow like your guy said. I had a major headache when I did an artwork two days ago.
Art looks decent for something which is done under an hour. I need 2 to 3 hours to make the lineart itself 😂.
ohh it looks like the times are getting worse, specially with summer approaching and sudeen rains. it definitely isn't a good mix when the temperature fluctuates so fast and people are already having more pressing health concerns. But lol don't give yourself a headache from art stress 🤣🤣 art isn't supposed to stress you out. that's why my man told me to take a step back and i really appreciated that advice tbh. it's been keeping me productive in ways i didn't expect. I'm still trying to force a render here and there but if i can't, i just scribble and it's nice that he draws with me after work so he helps me decide what's good or not lately.
and isn't 2-3 hours a little too much for scribble sketch line art? scribbles don't need to be perfect and all, that's why i went with this style again 🤣
That makes sense. Scribble's don't need that much time but I wouldn't know because I haven't done something like that in years haha.
then why not give it a try? there's another art community here that allows more free flowing art style and abstract but still gets pretty good upvotes ^^ i feel like you could do good with sketch practice
Hm I could if I wasn't doing anything else. When I post for either holozing or splinterlands i usually take a day off to recover so if I keep posting that day too then it will surely impact my skills the next day. Meaning I'll get another headache xd. Although I do like the idea of drawing some sketches occasionally.
then just do it as a warm up ^^ i would attempt it but I'm employed and i am trying to start a business. i can only wish to have enough time to actually do everything i want 😮💨

basically yeah. but it's not such a demanding activity. you just check once a week, post when you want and still get rewards either way

i think they accept any because i hace seen fan art pop out there every now and then 🤣 i mean, even portraiture is considerably fan art. you have your own style is what's important
