Eye to eye

Hello hello~ So I'm a littlw free today on my lunch break and I thought I could do a quick sketch for the art journal I'm making for my boyfriend.
I have been doing a lot of romantic sketches that I align woth poetry beche does secretly enjoy romance but he doesn't like to show it. Though he usually plays everything cool so I'm just happy I can tell now at this point XD

I was scrolling through Pinterest before my break and I saw this short quote:
"I crave you in ways that can only be expressed through touch, hunger and poetry."

And I thought that really resonated with the feeling I get when we have this lingering eye contact. And idk but there's something about the way he holds my gaze that just makes me want him more and more. So I thought of capturing that.

Materials: Black pen
Duration: 1 hour

Well, an hour is as far as my lunch break goes so I always have to make the most of it when I can. And today, I really feel like I did make the most of my break by embodying this romantic feeling.

As for the progression... I don't have that many progression shots XD

So this was at the start of it, when I remembered that this was well worth writing about XD and I do need a place to express my cringy-ass poet self without being called cringe 🤣

This was 30 minutes in and I was pretty happy with where it was going. I mostly had to capture more shadow and balance the light with the black pen I currently had. I didn't want to go back to my room to get another black pen so I had to settle with this.

It came out nice though ^^ So that's enough for me.
