Fanart for the adorable Zingu

Hey hey 👋
Guess who's back and is now trying to draw creatures ^^
For this easter sunday, I thought of starting it off with something cute since all of my work seems to be a huge contrast to the next. I think this is one way to keep me sane... or maybe it's a sign that I'm becoming bipolar 🥲 I hope not.

The other day, I was drawing such a raging red and now, today, I suddenly found myself working on such a soft blue that I have no idea where this came from. But I'm sure that this is one of the most adorable drawings I've made in a while.

Software: medibang paint
Duration: 2.5 hours

So this one wasn't such a hard draw. it was actually a speed sketch i started last night that eventually became a full on render and a full on cutie!

Here's a little timelapse I made of this cutie and hope you guys will guve it a view since my entire drawing progress is there and because I keep forgetting to take snaps here and there of my progression as well. But just for the sake of showing my progression shots, I'll put them below.

So this isn't even the start and the rough sketch I had last night, but this is definitely where I stopped when I was finally sleepy. I mostly draw at night to tire out my eyes so I can sleep faster and sometimes it works, other times it just feeds my insomnia. So this was about 30 minutes in while I was deciding on the pose and the background to go with since I'm not such an expert on backgrounds either.

Then this is where I stopped before lunch when my drawing time based on the counter was at 2 hours in. I actually forgot to do snaps every 30 minutes even though I told myself I'd set that as the progression shot interval... but oh well, I really can't handle losing my momento at times. here, you can see that I've worked in most of the fur with the base shade, a darker shade leaning towards violet and a lighter shade leaning towards cyan if you look at the color spectra. That's basically how I work with hair and fur these days. I've yet to explore more styles on drawing hair and fur, but so far this one works for me and I'm looking to master this technique to make it look more natural at least.

Then this is my shot before I fixed and finalised everything 🤣 and yep, I used my mighty airbrush here at a 1% opacity just so I can retain most of the features. Overall I'm happy with what I worked on.

And I'm pretty happy with how cute it is.

This is all from me for today. Next time, I'll try to take on doing a fan art for one of the healers. today I just wanted a chill draw and that's exactly what I got ^^

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I'll see you when I see you again!
