A day at the Anthropological Museum

Hello hello people ^^ Nice to be here again. I've been a little busy these past 3 weeks where 1 week, I spent making preparation for my boyfriend's arrival then the rest, I spent with my boyfriend XD
So I have never actually dated a man that has ever shown an interest in my culture and in my desires to have a museum date XD this was my first museum date and I loved every bit of it.

So the exhibit started from the second floor and that floor mostly covered Chinese trades and galleon trade stories. Mostly pottery techniques and theories about how different routes influenced different artistic endeavors of the people in the country because we were mostly talking about how the souther islands mostly cover Polynesian cultural similarities while the northern part played mostly on Chinese and surrounding Asian similarities. And with him having mixed nationalities and a rich cultural background too, I definitely enjoyed the comparisons he was making.

Then here is my love, looking at the big-ass ritual drum ^^

The succeeding floors were all mostly about indigenous groups and that was what really fascinated him. Since we didn't have time to go to mindanoua and visayas to actually experience the culture there, the museum was definitely the next best thing. And I saw from how fascinated he was that he can see his culture a little in my culture. From the patterns on clothings and even some tools we used. It was a really nice time we spent exploring, really. Especially the Mindanao display. He really liked that because he could see his Arabic heritage but also something entirely different. "Stolen like an artist" He said, because he recognized patterns but the Filipino people turned the patterns into something else entirely and even I find that soooo cool because I always recognized them as specific to this region or that region but I guess their influence came from somewhere else before.

But out of all the exhibits we saw that day, I think the alibata exhibit was among my favourites. I call it a lost art, really because the writing looks so good and it would have been cool if we continued the usage of it so people knew our language was unique. even he agrees that the writing is cool. I kind of wish I could learn it but I'm already on my journey to learning Spanish so IDK if I'll have time.

Bonus photo: We found our siblings hanging out at the museum too XD

This date happened on the 30th of January ^^ A bit late for the blog, sure, but I just wanted to spend as much time as I could with him while he was here so I held back on using all my gadgets and doing so many other activities while he was here. Should the day come that we finally get to live together, then we can work on scheduling and other stuff. But for now, I just wanted to savor every moment I had with him. I shall see you guys again tomorrow for more of my little adventures ^^ Until then!

Eyy, kaya pala MIA 🤪✨❤️. You surely enjoy this date, lalo you are with a hottie and the beautiful things inside the museum. Di pa talaga ako nakakapasok sa museum, bat kasi wala nyan sa maliit na bayan namin. It would be fun to really visit it, lalo I can also learn from it, even though mahina ako sa history, baka naman may mamemorize ako kahit isa, lololol. Pero why naman nakasabiy siblings natin jan, grabi silaaaaaa. Lolol

well for starters, it's good to know that we started off as a pagan country before we eventually became a mix of cultures to bring our own unique one together. You can see traces of paganism and old practices more in the remote ares both north and south but you will see how northern and south people have such different cultural practices as well and I find that to be so cool. But I mostly go north when I travel so I'm more familiar with thir practices
