Clerodendrum chinense

Today I was just idly walking around the yard, with the intention of looking for insects or mushrooms, but instead my eyes were attracted by this flower. Its name is Clerodendrum chinense, but I know in the past this flower was often called the pagoda flower. The shape of the flowers is beautiful, piled up like a miniature tower, the color is white to pale pink.

I photographed several parts of the flower, starting from the buds, flowers that had just bloomed, to those that were already a bit wilted. When I looked closely using a macro lens, it turned out there were lots of small details that weren't visible if I just looked at it at a glance. The fine fibers on the flower petals, the curved shape of the stamens, and there are even small ants passing by.

This flower grows well near the fence, apparently because it often gets sunlight in the morning and afternoon. I also just found out that this flower is often used as an ornamental plant because it is easy to grow and the flowers keep coming out almost every season.

NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
