The big Apple

Reminiscing about special trips, this one is very good! I worked for a good amount of time in a company that produces musical events around the world and I had the opportunity to travel a lot. This time we went to NYC to work in the Big Apple. We had to put everything together to give a concert in Central Park, a beautiful place to put anything together. I remember going to the price to see the facilities the days before the service (being a gastronomic producer) I went in the mornings and there were people doing all kinds of activities, streets in the middle of the part with cars passing by, imagine how big it is that it occupies most of Manhattan and in the afternoons or at noon there were also birthday parties celebrating in the middle of the park. Many children with parents who were busy carrying everything so that the kids had food and drink. They hire some entertainer or some nothing and the kids celebrated their birthday there in the open air, I thought it was great. Now that is done in Argentina too, but when I saw it it was quite a while ago.

One night we finished the day and some American guys invited us to drink and eat something to the south, to the Chelsea side and walking towards where we were going to have something to eat we came across the Vessel which is the building in the photo above. I was completely shocked by the strange shape they gave to that giant monster, it couldn't be real, the blue lights and the reflections of other lights that made a gold appear in some profiles of the stairs and paths it has. The shape they gave it is very curious and the kids told me that this is a viewpoint, it drove me crazy. Although it is not one of the tallest buildings in the city, it is really tall.

Another one that we met and I already knew him from photos but I had never seen him in person and I really think he is the one I liked the most after the Rockefeller because of his shape, his aesthetics and so on. This is him, Fuller. This building is very old, I think it is more than 100 years old or something like that, and something that makes it iconic for me is its location. It is located on Broadway and Fifth Avenue. Impossible to have a better location. Today it is a small 20-story building, but at the time it was one of the tallest skyscrapers in all of NYC. That night we had an incredible time walking through the city at night, which until a certain hour works like Buenos Aires, and it is beautiful because it is flooded with lights and it is very picturesque for me. But when the city turns off and only the lights are left, it's even better for me. The myth that he never sleeps is a complete lie hahaha, we are better. At any time in Argentina you can find a place to dance, to eat, to have a drink, at any time you can find whatever you want. It's not like that there!

The guys I worked with those days I remember telling me, you can't leave the city without visiting the new viewpoint, they opened it a few months ago and it's incredible. So I found out everything, bought the tickets and wanted to go see it. Those photos above are precisely from the Edge. It is a huge building 344 meters high and has the particularity of being an external platform that protrudes from the building, it is not its terrace, but rather it is like a large balcony that goes out and through the which to be able to look at the entire city. Today it is the tallest it has and the truth is it was worth going to see it because it is impressive. It was the only place in the city where I didn't feel a headache. They had told me that this was going to happen to me in NYC, possibly due to the dynamics of the city, the huge buildings and how everything happens differently and it could be a possibility of suffering from headaches and even dizziness for a few days. And that happened to me, it's true. But after a few days where I only had to take something for the headache it went away and I didn't suffer from it.

NYC is a beautiful city to visit. Although I was not able to know it in depth, the experience of being there was beautiful and unforgettable.

La Gran Manzana

Rememorando viajes especiales, este es muy bueno! Trabajé durante una buena cantidad de tiempo en una empresa que produce eventos musicales alrededor del mundo y tuve la posibilidad de viajar muchísimo. Esta vez nos fuimos para NYC a trabajar a la gran manzana. Tuvimos que armar todo para dar un concierto en el Central Park, un lugar hermoso para armar cualquier cosa. Recuerdo que yendo al precio para ver las instalaciones los días previos al servicio (siendo productor gastronómico) iba en las mañanas y había gente haciendo todo tipo de actividades, calles entre medio del parte con autos transitando por ahí, imagínense lo grande que es que ocupa la mayor parte de la Manhattan y por las tardes o al mediodia tambien habia cumpleaños festejando en medio del parque. Muchos niños con padres que se ocupaban en llevar de todo para que los chicos tengan comida y bebida. Contratan a algún animador o algunos nada y los chicos festejaban ahí su cumpleños al aire libre, me pareció genial. Ahora eso se hace en Argentina también, pero cuando yo lo vi fue hace bastante.

Una noche terminamos la jornada y unos chicos americanos nos invitaron a tomar y comer algo al south, para el lado de Chelsea y caminando yendo hasta donde íbamos a tomar algo nos cruzamos con el Vessel que es el edificio de la foto que está arriba. Me quede completamente impactado la forma tan rara que le dieron a ese mounstro gigante no podia ser real, Lass luces de color azul y los reflejos de otras luces que hacian que apareciera un dorado por algunos perfiles de las escaleras y caminos que tiene. Es muy curiosa la forma que le dieron y me contaron los chicos que ese es un mirador, me volvi loco. Aunque no es de los edificios más altos de la ciudad es realmente alto.

Otro que nos encontramos y ya lo conocía de fotos pero nunca lo había visto en persona y realmente creo que es el que mas me gusto despues del Rockefeller por su forma su estética y demás. Es este el, Fuller. Este edificio es muy antiguo creo que tiene más de 100 años o algo parecido y algo que para mi lo hace como icónico es su ubicación. Está ubicado sobre Broadway y la Quinta Avenida. imposible tener mejor ubicación. Hoy ya es un pequeño edificio de 20 pisos, pero en su momento fue uno de los rascacielos más altos de todo NYC. Esa noche la pasamos increíble paseando por la ciudad caminando en su noche que hasta cierta hora funciona como Buenos Aires, y es bellísima porque está inundada de luces y es muy pintoresca para mi. Pero cuando se apaga la ciudad y solo quedan las luces para mi es aun mejor. El mito de que nunca duerme es mentira completamente jajaja, nosotros somos mejores. En cualquier momento en Argentina podes encontrar un lugar donde bailar, donde comer, donde tomar algo, en cualquier momento puedes encontrar lo que quieras. ¡Allá no es así!

Los chicos con los que trabajé esos días recuerdo que me dijeron, no te podes ir de la ciudad sin visitar el nuevo mirador, lo estrenaron hace unos meses y es increíble. Así que averigüé todo, compré los tickets y quise ir a verlo. Esas fotos que estan arriba son justamente del Edge Es un edificio enorme de 344 mts de alto y tiene la particularidad de ser una plataforma externa que sobresale del edificio, no es su terraza, sino es como un gran balcón que sale hacia afuera y por el cual poder mirar toda la ciudad. Hoy es el más alto que tiene y la verdad valía la pena ir a verlo porque es imponente. Fue en el único lugar de la ciudad en donde no sentí dolor de cabeza. Me habían dicho que me iba a pasar eso en NYC posiblemente por la dinámica de la ciudad , los edificios enormes y como que todo transcurre de otra manera y podría ser una posibilidad de sufrir dolores de cabeza y hasta mareos durante unos días. Y eso me pasó es cierto. Pero después de unos días en donde solamente tuve que tomar algo para el dolor de cabeza se me pasó y no lo sufrí.

NYC es una hermosa ciudad para conocer. Aunque yo no pude conocerla en profundidad, la experiencia de haber estado allí fue hermosa e inolvidable.
