Petrol Bunks are heavily crowded

There is a huge demand in India for commercial gas cylinder and fuels in some places. I'm able to understand that the fuel demand is something that was artificially created because of panic buying by people. We can see that the fuel stations in India is heavily crowded. It is not only the regular people getting affected but it also increases the demand unnecessarily.

One of my friends called me and informed me that there is a high possibility that even food items can have scarcity in the future and it is good to keep a stock for one month. I was wondering what can cause that much problem. Then later I found that the issue was with ordinary people who panic and buy a lot and this creates a huge demand and supply becomes insufficient.

I had to spend more than 15 minutes to cross a fuel station today because people are afraid that they may not get any fuel in the next few days and they are filling their vehicle tanks. For the commercial gas cylinders there is already an announcement saying that there can be a shortage of supply in the future. Our company has announced that there won't be any food distribution until further notice because they don't have enough gas cylinders to meet the demand.

The government has also informed the public that, we shouldn't panic because of these temporary issues and there is no supply shortage right now for fuels and gas cylinders. The demand spiked because people are trying to be more protective and try to purchase extra stock. Many offices have requested their employees to work from home until further notice due to this demand. This appears to be some kind of lockdown without any pandemic.

People are going back to traditional cooking methods where wood stove and induction stove is being used by people. Only people who are fully dependent on gas stove is having this problem and they find it hard to manage the needs right now. Let us all hope that this war situation settles down and people get back to their normal life.
