Non-Plastic toys for kids

Today, when we try to buy toys for kids, most of the toys are made of plastic, and there is a huge domination of plastic in the toy market. Many companies are coming forward to innovate in this sector, where they try to make toys using either silicon or wood, which can be considered as an alternative for plastic toys. It is better to switch because there are many harmful effects in using plastic toys.

Silicon toys

I understand that some toys cannot be made with other materials, but good innovation is to make things happen. Silicon is considered to be one of the greatest alternatives for many plastic products. They are durable and at the same time, they are also eco friendly. But due to the malleable nature of silicone, it cannot be used for making all types of toys. With the help of silicone, there are so many innovations happening. Many molds are being made with the help of silicone. The reason is that they also withstand heat.

A teether is usually a common silicone-made toy for kids. I bought one for my kid, and also bought it for other kids too. We can freeze it in the fridge and use it after that as it hardens, and kids like keeping it in their mouth when it is cold. This is one of the innovative toys, and I'm glad that we are avoiding plastic here because it is harmful for the kids if kept inthe mouth.

Wooden toys

It is very hard to get wooden toys, but here again this is one of the best eco friendly option available. Some of the toys are already available in wood, but the cost can be slightly elevated. The reason is that they have to pick the right wooden material to make the toy, and that can be a costly thing. Since it is a toy for the kids, they have to make sure that the toy is not harmfu,l even if kept in the mouth by the kids.

We need more innovation around this toy industry, where it will be nice to have many toys made out of non-plastic materials. There are many creative ways in which toys are being made today, and these creative ways also include doing this without the help of plastics as it is highly dangerous.

In today's world, plastic toys have really taken over the market

Honestly, using alternative materials like silicone and wood to make toys is a great and smart move.

That's true, a lot of plastic in the toys... I gotta admit wooden toys are popping up around, they are good quality generally, silicon I just seen for really little kids

You're right. We have more toys these days made with plastics. But I do know that change is what is constant if the manufacturer can switch or alternate to silicon or other materials like you recommend I think that will be good.

Innovations in silicone and wood not only protect children from harmful plastics but also promote sustainability. Encouraging such alternatives is a meaningful step forward for both health and the environment.

I don't know why toys seems to be getting expensive now. The children needs toys to make and give them a good memories

It's exactly like that. We have to think for ourselves that if these plastic toys are not made of good plastic and children are putting them in their mouths, then it can harm the children.
