Microgreens are the next super food

Microgreens are something that is becoming very popular everywhere. I have seen many Instagram reels and YouTube videos where people discuss the benefits of microgreens for our health. In this article, let's see why it should be part of our breakfast and also how it can be a good business opportunity for many people.

Nutrient information

Compared to the other vegetables and spinach, they say microgreens have more nutrients, and they benefit us if we consume them directly without cooking it. People use it for salads and add it to their daily shakes, and some people even eat it directly or mix it with other foods. The best effect is visible if it is not cooked and consumed directly. They say even spinach, when consumed as microgreens, can give more benefits than regular spinach.

Business Opportunity

If people have space in their house, they can do it as a business. Today, all the tools are available to start a microgreen business just at home. There is no costly setup required initially, and we don't have to do any mass production. The focus can initially be for the family members alone, and we can consume it and see the difference. Then maybe we can give it to our friends and see how it goes. Then later this can be commercialized and done as a business. In this process, we will be learning a lot, and the learning can be put into application.

Marketing is the key

Thought today there is a high demand for microgreens and a great awareness is created among the people for microgreens, it is still not very easy to do this as a business. Though the opportunity is right in front of our eyes, it takes a lot of effort to take it to the general public if we don't find the right channel to reach out, it can be hard to do this business. Marketing is the key to any business. There might be opportunities everywhere, but we should know how to grab them. It can first be started with family members and friends and gradually be taken to the general public. Every business is first started as a small one and then gradually becomes a big thing.

There is nothing new or super about them. People have been eating them since the dawn of time. Think idli and dosas. That's how things like beer came to be invented/discovered ........as the secondary product of sprouted grains and seeds.

It's just another bit of hype.

Honesty I never seen those sold at supermarket, maybe it's niche still? 🤔

Maybe. Even here it is still not in supermarkets but it is available on demand and a bit costly too due to the demand.

starting with family and friends is a smart move, since their word of mouth can do the early markeitng for you. A tiny sample box for the first week and and a simple story post can get the buzz rolling. I like that you kept it real about eating them raw at breakfast, it keeps the routine easy and cheap. This path feels practical and calm, with results you can actually chew on.

This article clearly highlights the dual value of microgreens: as a superfood and as an entrepreneurial opportunity. I swear it's the first time I've heard the word microgreens, and now I understand that they are the young sprouts of vegetables, herbs, or grains harvested a few days after germination, when they've already developed their first green leaves. I really enjoyed reading your post, and it made me think about the future. Trying to enter this sector in the future would be something I'd be interested in! STRIDE

Love them, so easy to do and you can even find long term storable seeds in case SHTF.

Wow, they pack a ton of nutrients in such a small size, I would definitely consider turning them into a small business.

In a world of growing health concerns, microgreens should scale. It all depends how you as an entrepreneur will be able to set up your niche. Don't expect it to explore at first hand anyway.

It is just a matter of time. I actually used to say that the world will move to vegetables

Microgreens are really amazing, both for health and cooking. I like how you also pointed out the business side of it—growing them at home and sharing with others could be a great opportunity.
