Pets are always good companions. I used to wonder if it would be nice to have pets at home or not. From a young age, I liked having pets at home but my parents don't want them. I grew up in an environment where most people in the family don't like pets. But it is very interesting to see after visiting some of my friend's houses and a few relatives who consider pets as one of their family members.

Even now I'm okay to have pets at home with me but I don't want to hug them or touch them too much to be honest. I don't know why but there is a small mind blocker there for me. But after interacting with friends I know very well that they are a good companion for us. Especially for people who are not with their kids or grandchildren, pets are their best companion and entertainment.

Pets are part of the family

People see pets as one of the family members. The main reason is because as they grow with us in the family they become a family member. One challenge that we might have is that, we cannot leave pets at home and travel. They get mad when we are back from our travel. One of my office colleagues got bit by her dog for going out of station for just 2 days.

Some people who don't have any children have pets at home. The biggest advantage is that pets gel very well with us and they make us feel like a family for them and we can also get the same feeling from them too. Some couples have even made a conscious decision saying that they will not have any kids but instead have pets at home. I even know a few couples who individually have their pets at home.

Pets relieve people from stress

As I said earlier they are a good companion. If I go to my relative's house, they talk about their dog for nearly 1 hour and it will be very interesting to hear. They become a part of the family and they have a lot of things to share about the pets. The best thing is that when they interact with the pets and when they talk about their pets, they leave a lot of stress aside. They can have some kind of entertainment from them and it calms their mind so much. They don't feel like they are left alone.

Pets take care better than humans

As I said earlier, we cannot leave our pets at home and travel. That is not easy. They care too much. They act as our security guard and if someone new is entering our house, they try to protect us and they stay alert all the time. Sometimes people even say that instead of having humans as relatives, it can be better to even have pets because they are at least loyal to us but some humans are not very good and they are a big negative vibration for us.
