You simply cannot control the economy, when will we understand this?

The economy is like night and day, it is inevitable for it to keep changing, burning a big bright light towards the evening will not change the fact that night has come - you only waste resources trying to stop the inevitable.

Production as the heart of every economy

Each time people discuss growth but don't talk about production I often wonder why it is that we're so blind to what actually moves the market. How do you want to make bread if you cannot plant the seeds of it's ingredients? Structures usher in value not the other way round.

Now this is slightly related to the failed DeFi investment ecosystem, it has become this terrible due to the lack of any tangible structures feeding value to it, just a bunch of protocols printing inflation tokens to reward users and loaning out value flow to other DeFi protocols, a rather stupid move considering it carries the highest risk factors because for one, the ecosystem is too small. If everyone keeps loaning back to themselves, inevitably we have a stagnant economy because we all are minting thousands to millions of tokens daily, actively fucking up our investors, both the users and our business partners.

DeFi investments have totally sucked for this reason and it will keep being so if these projects don't learn to understand that "Yield Aggregation" or optimization or whatever the fuck we call it is a pretty bad idea, it's basically stagnant money printing more tokens to devalue itself, largely because this yeild is from the same ecosystem where everyone is practicing the same ritual.

We want numbers go up, always

Why do we tend to panic when numbers go down but not when it goes up?

At least I am aware of the legacy systems' fancy word for numbers goes up and that is "overheating economy".

An overheated economy is one that has experienced a prolonged period of good economic growth. - Investopedia

Notice the choice of words "prolonged period of good economic growth".

This is what everybody wants but we tend to panic when things begin to come crashing down. Look at bitcoin, wasn't it just at 69k? It's barely worth 50% of that right now, we don't see the developers over there trying to move hard-core numbers for any reasons because a declining market is often more of an opportunity than even a rising one, of course few know this.

You won't get anything good from trying to control the economy of any ecosystem, what needs to be done to ensure sustainability has nothing to do with manipulating numbers, because when you do this, you trigger people, but when you manipulate people, numbers are moved.

Getting more people involved should be the heart of all networks, of course some try to do this by messing with numbers and that is totally wrong. This is where sustainability lies and how to get people really depends on a whole lot of things but mostly on what "more" you have to offer them not take from them, it would be crazy to offer them more from a pot of inflation, then panic when the pot begins to run out, now you're trying to take from them, the effects of this is catastrophic.

What have we been developing as a network? Who are the target audience? Does it attract value just by having people use it in the very basic form or it needs extra steps of pushing to convert? When we are able to set up multiple working structures that gives the right answers(solutions) to these questions, then we can expect sustainability.

Manipulation numbers to stimulate economic growth will always fail because even if the short term sees some good reaction, the long term will always have the same result - a failed system and when I say manipulating numbers, I mean this in either ways.

Whether you're increasing or decreasing, it don't matter, the end result will always be the same. We ought to stop trying to control the things that shouldn't and build more value structures to sustain our networks, economic growth and sustainability lies on production and consumption, not numbers or paper theories.

numbers are not biased, what isn't real isn't. The idea of manipulating numbers is unethical.

The right principle needs to be applied and the concept of production embraced. One who love eggs must learn how to raise chickens.
