Google has no reason to hate Bitcoin or any other crypto asset/blockchain

I don't know why anyone should be of this opinion but they are, so here we are.

There's this recent post by geekgirl on scam crypto ads on YouTube, I found a comment within the post that says Google might simply hate Bitcoin and crypto, hence allowing ads that could lead to people losing their assets.

This is not true.

No company(except the central banks really) out there hates Bitcoin or crypto - at least if they are in their right minds.

For Google, there's absolutely no reason to.

Does Bitcoin threaten Google's business in any way?

Of course not. It's been 14 years now since Bitcoin was created, if this shit was something Google should hate(as a threat), it would have been evident for a while now.

Now I know you may be tempted to talk about their ban on crypto ads, I'd say that this ban was rather lightly implemented and there were still plenty of crypto-related software and services being advertised via Google.

The scams have always been there too, it's just now a lot because the system is more crypto friendly.

That said, there are two possible reasons Google shows these scam ads and both reasons can be true at the same time.

One is that they simply don't care about a lot of things being promoted through them. I say this because it isn't only crypto scams that have made it to Google ads, there've been plenty others in different fields and sectors.

These companies really don't care. Have you been to Twitter(X)? Have you seen the ads? Crypto scams and Porn is all there is to see.

The second reason is that it's just not easy to determine what's a scam or not. The process of determining what's a scam or not requires human assessment, not some automated system and it seems Google may not be interested in putting people in place for this.

You could say that some scams are pretty obvious, you're right and wrong at the same time.

What you may consider an obvious scam may be poorly designed marketing materials and low effort captions yeah?

I'll have you know that many legit companies sometimes are that stupid and lazy to deliver ads worth looking at. So there's really no easy way to tell.

Google has better things to worry about - ChatGPT

In a long time coming, Google has finally met a threat to its business and this is ChatGPT. Not Bitcoin or any other crypto or blockchain.

With AI now in the picture and ChatGPT leading the trend, Google's advertising business is threatened, I mean, it has been evident with how they quickly developed and deployed a similar product and even lied about its capabilities.

That's how you spot what a company really gives two F's about.

Google has absolutely no reason to hate Bitcoin or crypto. Recent partnerships and deals between Google and crypto companies and blockchains reveal that Google is actually moving into crypto and I believe every company out there would want to, but due to the lack of regulatory clarity, some are not ready to risk it.

That's just it.

Only the government hates crypto. For businesses, it's a technology of empowerment, not something to hate.

Oh, and in relation to ChatGPT threatening Google, the tech giant stands to win against GPT with all these lawsuits stacking up against it.

So true, I see crypto in this case Bitcoin providing companies the security they need, in the case of Bitcoin for now I think its just speculative value that has only gone up through the years, for now; and in the case of other blockchain there will be other type of feature set that appeal but always by the hand of security, eventually there will be more and more adoption, the ETF Bitcion will help to clean up a bit the image that most ppl have of crypto
