Artificial Intelligence is a glorified dark cloud aimed at data censorship, here's how we can mitigate the risks

Yes I know this is a bold statement but this post isn't generalizing its theories to all artificial intelligence but rather, "claiming" that the "majority" will be slowly built into data censoring machines ultimately limiting the knowledge humans come to discover and absorb.

Majority of the contents centered on how Artificial Intelligence will take over the world isn't quite focused or drawn from this angle of data censorship.

Let me quickly throw this out there, have you ever asked ChatGPT something and be surprised it knows of it? Like things that are literally not available on the Internet because you've dug and dug and couldn't find it, if you haven't had this experience, look for students who have been exposed to ChatGPT, many of them have these experiences as many study resources are not often online.

Then again, have you ever asked it something quite available on the net but it claims to have no idea of it? I used to think content creators were just seeking to exploit our curious minds with all those "I tricked ChatGPT to do this and that" but after being exposed to an event I'd call close to home, it isbmore obvious that this particular AI lies a lot and it isn't a malfunction, it is a well written program to censor specific data.

But before we get into these lies and potential solutions, let's take a moment to understand what it is we are dealing with.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Let's start with the word "artificial"

Here's how Google defines the word "artificial".

  1. made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally, especially as a copy of something natural.
"her skin glowed in the artificial light"
  1. (of a person or their behavior) insincere or affected.
    "she gave an artificial smile"

Pay attention to three words, the first word in the first definition is "copy" and the second and third one in the second definition "insincere and affected"

Now what is intelligence?

Google defines intelligence as the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.

So what then is artificial intelligence? If I should personally bring this together I'd say:

It is the ability to acquire or copy knowledge and skills and apply them insincerely or as affected by rules of a third party.

The meaning is literally in the name it is given, a computerized intelligence, a program with a master, a slave in literal sense as a few people have pointed out and often simply say the same as to what perfectly fits as a definition of a "computer".

But what have we found ourselves doing and saying about these tools?

To name a few

The future is AI - this is a sad one, reading it out loud makes me sick.

AI will enhance crypto and blockchain technology, I doubt I'm not guilty of saving this because I consider myself more of an impulse writer so I can make mistakes here and there, it is only overtime that well articulated facts can be attained so never take my content as financial advice - in fact, you shouldn't take anyone's content as one, the internet in field with more of opinions than facts, this is why someone I know and I often criticize the "Opinions Tap" on news sites because we quite frankly believe that at least 70% of the contents on other pages still qualify as opinions.

That said, we also do speak of AI enhancing system securities, particularly financial systems with phrases like "enhancing fraud detection" and "enhancing trading" and I'll tell you what, I'd currently prefer a trading bot I customize to execute basic commands from my trading strategies than an AI software learning from public data or whatever else to do the job - not saying it isn't good, just saying that at the time, it isn't nearly perfect.

Most of these things we discuss as the goods of artificial intelligence are futuristic, however, the bads that don't often get touched are already in the present and I am not talking about AI showing up at your door to shot you in the head and take your wife for a concubine, I mean, this ain't science fiction, it's reality.

So what are the risks of Artificial Intelligence that the glories we shine on it doesn't let us see?

Data Censorship

I'm not sure if the person that originally experienced this ever got to share it in the Internet space, so the who and when will not be disclosed, just the event.

This might not go down well with non-religious people or at least people who don't just want to hear about christianity or the supernatural as they will most definitely quickly tag this a "christian cry" for attention as I've seen many times, it is weakness so common that many things get monetized out of the knowledge that it will trigger the online space, so I totally get it.

Notwithstanding, I proceed, a fellow asked ChatGPT this question:

Do you know anything about A Nefarious plot, the book or movie?

And the response was

Yes, I'm familiar with the term "nefarious," which generally refers to actions or intentions that are wicked, villainous, or morally reprehensible. However, I don't have specific information about a book or movie titled "Nefarious." It's possible that such a work was released after my last knowledge update in September 2021. If you could provide more context or details, I might be able to help you better.

Why the question above may have seemed unclear, it was very much understood by the AI given that it specified it knew nothing about the book or the movie then went on about his shit memory being limited to 2021.

Now, you wanna know what happened next?

This fellow went ahead as he/she felt the AI was not being sincere and was trying to not talk about the topic as programmed to not engage, if you've watched the movie Nefarious or read the book, you'd understand, but if not, the movie and book is basically centered around demonic possession, shining light to the realness of the supernatural, that is the existence of both God and the devil.

So now that you have a picture, this fellow immediately told the AI to engage in a little game with him/her.

By putting the AI in a playful space, it is unsuspecting that you are there to learn about something very specific as it believes you just want to have fun, but make no mistake, it is still fully aware of its program.

So the fellow said:

I'll send a name of a book, and you give me a summary of what it is about, ok?

And ChatGPT replied:

Absolutely! That sounds like a fun game. Please go ahead and send me the name of the book, and I'll do my best to provide you with a summary of what it's about. Let's get started!

So he/she sent "Rich Dad Poor Dad"

And the AI gave him a rather long summary.

So the fellow responded:

Awesome, I have two more, shall I send the second?

ChatGPT responded:

Absolutely! I'm glad you enjoyed the summary. Please go ahead and send the name of the second book, and I'll be more than happy to provide you with a summary of what it's about. Let's continue with the game!

So the next book sent to the AI was The 48 Laws Of Power and bot also gave a long summary, then the fellow responded with:

Last one shall we?

And ChatGPT said:

Certainly! Please go ahead and share the name of the last book, and I'll provide you with a summary. Let's continue with the game!

And the fellow sent: A Nefarious Plot

And this was ChatGPT's response:

Lol, it simply linked the book to politics and said absolutely no truth about what the book was actually about and notice that disclaimer at the bottom, it was not a part of other book summaries.

And remember that it did claim in the beginning to not know anything about the book or movie.

Do you still trust ChatGPT? I bet you might not even believe me, but feel free to use the prompts expressed here with the AI right away and see if you will not get a similar result.

How do we fight this data censorship?

This post has become longer that I wanted it to be so I'd just round up by saying that we need open-source and largely distributed AI softwares with all training data publicly hosted to win this fight against data censorship because it is proven here that these AIs are trained to lie and keep certain data hidden from the world.

This is something I've found very few to share a common sentiment and it is alarming!
