My reborn and my choice

A mystical and powerful being offers you the chance to reincarnate, but you must choose between two options: the first is to keep the memories of your past life but without meeting the same people again. The second option is to forget everything but find the same people around you reincarnated just like you. Which would you choose and why?

Greeting everyone and welcome to this all brain racking prompt for the week which had got me really torn in between two opinions. Reincarnation is a lot to deal with and I have heard so many people talking about it . Some believe in it while some don’t but somehow whether we do or not, I feel we just have to be careful somehow for what we ask for or wish for which makes this prompt somehow dicey.

Even though it’s just a prompt, I am somehow feeling the mystical powerful being might just appear and then demand that I must have what I have written about. Hahahah. That’s on the lighter side. Well, I was talking with someone yesterday and I was telling the person that I am just realizing that I am an introvert and over these years I didn’t know. It was like my eyes opened to a part of my life I didn’t know.

Well, I am saying this to say that as someone who had been more withdrawn than outward, that if I ever have that opportunity to be reborn, I’d go for the first choice. I would have to keep the memories of my past life and then meet an entirely new people. For me I’d see it as an opportunity to live another life. More like having two different shots at life. Instead of getting stuck with the old which of course I have enjoyed and endured as occasion brings and the sweet and bad memories which ofcourse made me what I am I will always treasure as I am allowed to still retain those memories.

I’d love to have those memories kept and then I would come back to meet entirely new people and have a different shot at life. The reason I want this is because I would love to be more outgoing as against my secluded and introverted lifestyle that I am living now. I would love to relate more with people and explore life more than I am presently doing.

I would also love to use my experiences and the lessons that I learnt from my previous life since I still have those memories to be able to navigate my present life and then use the experiences from the past to correct my present so as not to repeat those mistakes that I made in the past life. Meeting new people will open me up to new opportunities and exciting moments as I would make the most of the life.

There’s so much life has to offer if only we can open up our hearts to it. This prompt may seem like just any prompt but it’s also open my eyes to the fact that instead of waiting to live another life and live differently, I could as well bring that experience I want to postpone to the next life into this life and live it to the fullest.

I think you have a lovely plan for the here and now. I've been reading entries to this, and can see the reasoning behind the choices. Instinctively, I think we all know what we would need in that reincarnated life.
