When you neglect good advice

In life I have found out that many people just want to live their life the way it pleases them, whether it hurts anyone around them or not they seem not to care but when the issues behind their life choices begins to arise, they will start coming back to those whom they've once forsaken their advice for help.
In the afternoon today after seeing how a beautiful young baby who was crying without having anyone attend to her, I left everything I was doing and went over and carried her. Her mother hasn't been at home for long and no one is sure of her whereabouts including her parents. Ever since she got pregnant and gave birth to her first child she started calming down and now she has given birth to the second one, so all together she has two girl children.
The problem I have with her is that she cares little about her children, in fact it's as though she doesn't value them based on the way she treats them or even beats her first child sometimes.

To be honest if I had not been a witness to the fact that she carried those her children in her belly, I would find it very difficult to believe that she is their real mother apart from the fact that her children resembled her very much. It really pains my heart that these children started from an early stage to suffer. I had taken a lot of pictures with them and I know that it wouldn't be nice to share another person's child publicly through pictures especially when I want to do real things on a topic like this.
I would love to tell you a short story that really happened which is now affecting the lives of these children, so that we will learn and teach others to be careful as well.
We all know that not all families believe in abortion, because of the fact that it requires a process of killing a child's life which is already alive and in an early developing stage. Now this is where it all started, three years ago as I can remember vividly as though it was like yesterday.

There is this young beautiful girl in the neighborhood, whom I know that almost everyone praises her for her beauty and to be honest I myself discovered that the girl also is very smart because of the way she always finds solutions to problems. She could fix electronics too and it's not like she had gone to learn about it anywhere. She hadn't come to the stage of going to the university yet as she was still three years away from taking her entry exam, now you can imagine how young she was then. That was the time she started coming home very late after school dismissal.
I remember how her mom always complained of how her only daughter always does things that break her heart. She was the only daughter and her parents didn't value her so much, especially her father who wouldn't want to see her in bad situations with showing up and giving her money to solve her problems.

Time came when she started going to her moms purse to collect her money without any authorization. That money always serves as the key to her medium of traveling extra miles where she mostly visits her friends. Most times in anger when her mother raises hands on her and beats her with many questions on her lips, she will confess how she spent the money she stole.
The time when she stopped coming home from school early, her mother didn't just relax but she informed her teachers and even the head of her daughter's school and for a while, it seems as though the girl child came back to her senses and after sometimes she left home from school and stayed outside for more than seven days and later came back on the eighth day. I remember how restless her mother was and how she had organized search parties who would help look for her missing daughter.

Her mother once in a while came seeking advice from me and always complained to me of how much effort she has been giving in to make sure that her daughter grows into a perfect woman and becomes better behaved. Seeing what the woman was passing through and how eager she was to help her daughter, I know she would definitely do anything possible to make her daughter humble, yet with each passing day things were getting out of hand. All good options were exhausted, there were even times when their daughter reported her parents to the authorities which even weakened her parents the more because it was visibly noticed and I'm sure that their daughter saw its effect and then moved on without changing from her life style.
Just when it was as though she had calmed down and her mom started rejoicing each time she would be chatting with me.

She was deeply happy that her daughter now comes back home early and does not leave home to spend days. While everyone was about to become happy, the news of her pregnancy came. I don't think she noticed early enough but according to her mom, she was the one who noticed the changes in her daughter's body before taking her to have a test and it was confirmed that she was pregnant. It happened that she had gone to the lab herself and had checked herself earlier before her parents noticed but the summary of everything was that pregnancy humbled her. She didn't abort the baby and her parents weren't in support of any abortion either, including their pastor.
Efforts were made to identify the man who was responsible and it really helped save the family from the embarrassment. The person was located and in fact it was a young man of around twenty four years of age or so but the two families met each other and both the girl and the young man got married.

She later gave birth to her first child and later gave birth to another but they couldn't take care of them because they lack the resources to do so and even coupled with the he fact that they lacked wisdom, because on many occasions the two families had agreed to set up a business for them but the refused and decided to work in manufacturing companies were they have found jobs. Now the girls mom is the one who is now taking care of their baby in order to be able to look after the children and even feed them well because according to the woman's observation, her daughter hardly spares time to check up on her daughter and it was said that hunger has made them to take longer hours at work.
All the liberty the young woman enjoys at home was all gone. Lucky enough she got pregnant when she was eighteen and had finished taking her entrance exam but she couldn't further her education since that time till now because automatically she has made her bed, now she's lying on it.
Honestly, don't ever neglect the good advice that comes from your parents, especially the one that comes from your mom.
