My visit to Port Harcourt Local government Council

In a small tightly secured environment surrounded by different government establishments lies the Port Harcourt Local Government Council with different modern looking well established buildings encompassed with a clean environment beautified with ornamental trees and green carpet grasses. Port Harcourt local government Council is local in Rivers State, Nigeria.

As I visited this area, the first thing I noticed was how calm the area is because there was nothing like noise pollution, the likes of which one would witness along a busy road. There were fewer cars moving along the tarred road that goes across L.G.A Council.

For me, crossing the gates that lead into the local government Council were like crossing the gates of one big five star hotel because of the awesome setting of different buildings and other structures in the environment. The high level of organization of everything within the environment isn't just of international standards but must have been masterminded by some chief architect or master planner.

Most importantly I love the colors given to each building. In recent times I've passed through the roads of this Secretariat and only had to admire the aesthetic view of this beautiful establishment from a distance. This time around I feel delighted to be on the inside.
The security personnel guarding the establishment were smartly dressed and had a good way of addressing people.
I was warmly welcomed by one whose good approach gave me the encouragement to ask him for directions on the inside.

Though the Port Harcourt local government government area was established, and the Rivers State Secretariat was built in 1975. I could hardly see any old buildings inside the environment. There is something about the exterior design of each building that got me enchanted.
My eyes couldn't stop looking at the trees that were perfectly planted serially to line up along the tarred road inside which also extended to the road outside so that there was no were no visible sand nor unwanted grasses.

I took a walk from the entrance to inside one of the building and I fell deeply in love with the interior most especially because of the lightings. There were many very important persons on the inside whose influence attracted heavily armed guards so I couldn't my camera to take pictures as to not be a suspicious person, after all it's not like I visited a pleasure park but a government office.

While on the inside rain started falling heavily and I had to wait till it stopped to come outside. Infact it was as if the rainfall beautified the environment even more. In some very wet places I could clearly see my reflection on the ground.
I noticed the presence of cars which were properly parked in the areas reserved from them.
The Port Harcourt local government Council seem to be very much occupied with people who seem busy and minding their different businesses.

There was a small reserved area that looked like a little field which were covered with green carpet grasses and separated from the road on both sides by same specie of beautiful ornamental trees.
I also noticed the presence of solar street light in the middle of the field.
Same type of solar street light can be found in other parts of the environment where It will help brighten up the roads at light or reveal the beauty of the ornamental trees.

I really enjoyed the different feeling I had while in the environment, the feeling of quietness and peace, good aesthetics, security and love for the environment.
