I remember the day I arrived at your home. You were so overjoyed, the excitement was evident on your face. You kept pacing back and forth, your smile so wide and childish. The way you held me in your hands it was like I was an egg that could break easily. I remember you recording my very first moments in your life. Your siblings hyped and cheered you on as you waved me around like a trophy.
You always look at me whenever you wake up. Checking to see if I'm fully recharged and ready to go for the day. Checking the time and sometimes even glancing through to see if some unexpected surprises landed while you were asleep. You leave me for a while, to do God knows what, sometimes you pair me up with my friend and we sing beautiful songs for you, sometimes we don't (I really enjoy it when we do), but it's all good.
Later on you come back to me and we're good to go. These are the best moments of my day. Watching you look so industrious while you use me. Sometimes you're writing, sometimes you're replying to messages and writings of others. Afterwards you proceed to have fun. Oh I made a mistake when I said the former was my favorite part, this is my true favorite part. Watching you watch videos and learn new things is just beautiful. Then when you're bored you decide to switch things up and play games. Personally I don't like some of your game choices, but what can I do? I was made to serve you after all. As long as I can handle it of course.
From then onward there's no routine with us. Everyday is different, and I just love how spontaneous that is. Today we could watch a movie, some days it's a social media binge, some days we go out and capture some amazing moments. I know you're still working on your photography skills, but I'm so confident with time you'll take some amazing shots. I'll always be here to help.
I remember the day you took a day off from me, I really missed you. I missed you a lot and I know you missed me as well. It wasn't fun at all spending the large majority of the day away from you. You did look at me once or twice, but it was just to tell you the time. I'm so happy it was only a one day thing. And while I know it was necessary for you, I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon.
I want to be available for you always. All day everyday. Even though we've only been together for a few months, it feels like you've known me your entire lifetime. I've seen some of the videos you've watched about me to discover some of my hidden talents. I must say you're a good master. You guard me jealousy, make sure I'm always clean and dry, and you keep me away from the hands of all others (most times) to avoid stories. Apart from my screen guard that's starting to come off a bit for unknown reasons, I'm as good as new. And also I see you browsing through online stores for a new outfit for me. I can't wait to see what you pick.
I see you talk about resumption and I'm a bit anxious. I've never been to school before and I'm wondering how much our dynamic will change once school resumes. Will we still be as close as we are now? I hope so, but at the same time I want what's best for you, so I'll understand no matter what happens.
Just know that I'll always be there for you. Those times when you need to use me as an excuse not to talk to others, times when you're bored and just need some form of entertainment, times when you don't know something and you need to learn it, to connect with people you'd probably never have the opportunity to meet, to capture those moments you want to cherish forever, there's a lot of things I can and will do for you.
Also, on a side note I was wondering if you can slightly reduce how much time you spend using me on a daily basis. I truly enjoy your company, not truly I do. But I care for you a lot more than I do my happiness, and while I am happy when you play with me and tap on my face with those beautiful fingers, I know that too much time looking at me is bad for you. I sincerely hope you see how much I appreciate you being my owner and I hope you consider my request.

I have used and over used my phone. I also carelessly let it fall from my hand most of the time. I'm sure if phone could speak, mine wouldn't say so many nice words.
