Hi everyone who has always been loyal to this CCH community. Especially for you photography lovers. How are you all doing? May the good news always be with you. On this occasion, I would like to share my shots of the thorny fruit known by its scientific name Durio zibethinus or in my area known as Durian. When I was visiting my friend's house, I was presented with this fruit that had just been harvested from his garden. Some of these photos were taken using my smartphone when I wanted to eat it.

Durian is the name of a tropical plant native to Southeast Asia, as well as the name of its edible fruit. The name is derived from the fruit's characteristic hard skin with sharp grooves that resemble thorns. Its popular nickname is the "king of fruits". Durian is a controversial fruit, although many people love it, some dislike its aroma.

Durian is a tropical fruit, growing around the equator up to an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, and as far away as latitude 18° in Thailand and Queensland.

Durian has been known and loved by people since at least the Ancient Mataram period (9th century). The plant is listed in the manuscript of Kakawin Ramayana Sarga XXIV stanza 98; in Old Javanese it is known as dūryyan.

Due to its strong pungent smell and tendency to stink (for some people), a number of companies and airlines prohibit people from carrying durian, for example in the cabin of an airplane, in public transportation vehicles or in hotels.

For durian fans, in order not to cause unpleasant things with people who do not like the smell of durian, it is believed that there is an easy way to get rid of durian odor on the fingers and mouth. Fingers are cleaned by stirring water in the durian share (the recess of the inner fruit skin, where the durian flesh and seeds are attached) and the stirred water is not thrown away, but used to rinse the mouth, which is considered effective.

That's some knowledge about this fruit plant and some photography. Hope it was useful and that you liked and enjoyed it. Thank you for everything. See you next time. I take my leave, greetings from a lover of nature and its contents.
