Are there none that are worth taking a look at? Besides SPS and DEC.

Do you know if Hive or other chains have ever been used to create a local currency? I've been thinking about that lately, and since everybody can create a coin, maybe there is some way to use that possibility for something more connected to analogue world, and local currencies to strengthen the inner economy might be a good starting point.
One year for Easter I created a meme coin called Defective Chocolate Spheres, with a narrative about how all year, chocolate factories try to produce imitations of Lindt balls, and all they can end up with is egg shaped chocolate, so they sell them at Easter as "Eggs" instead of their true form, Defective Chocolate Spheres.
I created it on bitshares, distributed it, and promptly abandoned it.
It was a self aware meme coin, and I had fun doing it.
So, it's easy to create tokens. Meaning, there is a possibility of turning it into a local currency. I'm gotta investigate...
Easy, like publishing a book, you just gotta have money behind you to start with ;)

From what I see that is also a token that is distributed very inflationary. But I haven't investigated it, either. And I don't own much, as I don't publish on their site nor use the tag.
