#TBT| A Celebration to Always Treasure

Every March 18th of every year is always a special day for me, but this year's own is one of a kind.

18th March, 2024 was my birthday, and it was also the day I finished my internship, which equals to double celebration for me. I woke up in the morning to messages; my friends and family had posted my pictures on their WhatsApp status; my mom called me to pray for me; afterwards, I went for morning devotion. During the morning devotion, my big uncle and his family prayed for me, then sang a birthday song for me, and we all went about with our daily activities.

I went to the hospital to start my clearance, and when I got there, a lot of people wished me, prayed for me, and gave me gifts. I was really amazed at the extent to which I was celebrated because I wasn't expecting it at all; my other families and acquaintances called me. After I was done with all my engagements for the day, I stopped by the supermarket to get juice to share with the family.

The highlight of the day was that when I got home, later in the evening, we made dinner and we all ate and were watching television, then my big uncle's daughter came to call me downstairs to tell me that my uncle is calling me upstairs and I should dress well because we want to take pictures unknowingly to me that they have all planned something for me. I wore my red corporate gown, went upstairs, and everyone just shouted surprise!!!!.

I was dumbfounded because I wasn't expecting any kind of celebration from them. I was so happy for the love shown to me; my cake was handed over to me; they all sang for me, prayed for me again, snapped pictures, and then I shared the cake with everyone.

After all the celebration, my uncle's daughter started narrating how she carried the cake inside, praying to God that I wouldn't be aware. lol. Anytime I remember this day, I always smile to myself, knowing how loved and cherished I am.
