Throw back Thursday || Celebrated little wins with my friends

It's #tbt today, and I bring to you memories with my friends that are worth remembering. Sometimes, you have to celebrate your little wins and achievements wherever you find yourself. I am the type of friend who is supportive and really appreciative of the friends I walk with. It was this time last year when there was a competition issued in our school to developers and all programmers. I was lucky to have a close friend who was an expert and ready for the competition. He practiced so hard and worked towards the competition every day because there was a prize and award for only first, second, and third. On this day there were a lot of people there that came for the award also, they were all prepared and thus people are all developers. I was an intending developer, and I was feeling encouraged seeing many students who knew something special and worked on themselves.

On this competition day, it was full of security. We were asked to come with our ID card for entry, and the name of that day was Demo Day &Awards because it is all full of coding(computer work). I was also opportune to see some lecturers, and the VC of our school also came by to support them as well. Leaving my house to celebrate with my friends is something special I have done and which they also appreciate. I did not just go there to support alone; I also went there to learn from what those developers came to present. Just as some developers came just for the awards, that is also how dome students came to learn. Some also did it to build their knowledge and skills, not just because of the award being placed.

The way the event was being organized was superb and beautiful. The setup was great, and I loved how it was. At this time, a lot of people had not arrived yet, and I will say they started late and took my time a little bit, but I will say it was worth waiting because it was fun.

After some while, we were given a menu 😂 I think this menu was only to bribe us, but we had no choice but to collect and still wait for some time.

Finally, it was time for my friends to present their work, I was happy and looking like a Friend that is proud of her other friends. Normally I don't really know how those stuff work yet, but I was the happiest person in the crowd, and I was cheering and applauding them. I could remember my friends were happy seeing a supportive friend, cheering them up. He told me he was scared and did not know how he wanted to face the crowd, even though I was also someone like that. I was not discouraged about it. Instead, I boosted his aura and strength to do better and assured him he could do it. Seeing my friend was part of my little wins, I was happy my friend was doing great up there.

After their presentation and other presentations from all the other students, it was time to call for the winners of the competition. At this rate, my friends and I were super scared because this day was what we'd been working so hard on and trying to become a winner as well. My friend also promised to give me my share of the award being given to them if they likely became the winner. I had no choice but to pray for them to be part of the winner, and also I wanted to see this soft smile that my hard work did not go in vain.

They called the winners and my friends were not among them, I was a little bit disappointed and sad. But I celebrated the other winners because it was an easy job; my friends were also sad I was still the one who had to cheer them up that they actually did well up there. The winner was given a sum of 300,000; the second received 200,000, while the third received 150,000. The funniest part was that my friends took the fourth position, but they just only had to give these three winners. We did not allow that one to weigh us down; after the event, we went home to celebrate it ourselves because it wasn't so easy to take the fourth position out of about 100 participants in the competition.

We celebrated our little wins; even if we were not the winner and didn't collect any awards, we learned a lot. Especially me, my going wasn't in vain, and I learned new things and also tried to add to daily life. Each time I still recall this moment, I actually wish my friend was also called to receive an award for their sleepless nights and hard work.
