Taking a Break at Conical Coffee & Dining |

One afternoon in the end 2024, I was waiting for my lover while eating at Conical Coffee & Dining located on Jalan Medan – Banda Aceh, Idi Rayeuk, East Aceh, Indonesia.

This cafe is easy to see because it is located on the edge of the trans-Sumatra road and right at the end of the bridge if you come from the West or from Lhokseumawe City, where I live. The yard is spacious so it's not difficult to find a parking space.

At that time, I ordered beef soup, avocado juice, and several other types of snacks. When paying, I chose to pay with Qris, a barcode payment system in Indonesia.

Whether it was because the network was chaotic, the cashier said my payment failed. I tried three times and it still failed. Unfortunately, I also couldn't check the transaction results. Because it had failed three times, I finally paid in cash.

When I got home the next day, I checked my account statement and was surprised because there were three payments at Conical Coffee & Dining. That means, I paid four times.

I immediately contacted a friend in East Aceh, in addition to contacting the manager of Conical Coffee & Dining via Instagram account. Not long after, they promised to check it. And on the same day, the excess payment was immediately returned to my account.

Well, this honesty made me come back to Conical Coffee & Dining on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. I arrived at noon when the sun was scorching hot.

This time I ordered a portion of chicken mushroom wonton noodles, a portion of salted chili tofu, avocado coffee, watermelon juice, and mineral water with ice. The total was IDR 105,000 or around 24 #Hive.

The food and drinks at Conical Coffee & Dining were quite delicious. The chicken mushroom wonton noodles, which are my favorite noodles, tasted quite good. About 8 out of 1 to 10.

I still remember the taste of the beef soup that I ordered at the end of 2024. The soup was very delicious, although I thought the meat was not so tender.

Like this time, the chili salt tofu was too spicy. When reporting to the waiter, they gave a replacement with a lighter salt flavor. So, that is also another plus point at Conical Coffee & Dining.
