After a series of selections, the panel of judges finally selected two pairs of Public Relations Ambassadors for Malikussaleh University at the Cut Meutia Hall, Bukit Indah Campus, Lhokseumawe, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. They will work to support the public relations program for the next year.
After conducting in-depth interviews with 18 participants, the panel of judges, chaired by senior journalist Modh Nasier Husein, selected eight finalists who advanced to the talent show stage. The successful participants are Rais Akbar from Industrial Engineering, Ery Ardiansyah Sinaga from Information Systems, Ahmad Jailani from Communication Studies, and Nanda Setia Putra from Law.
Meanwhile, the women's finalists were Raizya Kemala Hayati from Communication Studies, Al Fazila Br Barus from Psychology, Rachel Tania Pinasti from Communication Studies, and Annisa Putri from Psychology.
The eight finalists showcased diverse talents ranging from storytelling and poetry reading to monologues and singing. Finally, after intense debate, the panel of judges selected two pairs of 2025 Malikussaleh University Public Relations Ambassadors.
They are Rais Akbar (Industrial Engineering) and Ery Ardiansyah Sinaga (Information Systems) for the men's program, and Raizya Kemala Hayati (Communication Science) and Al Fazila Br Barus (Psychology) for the women's program.
One of the judges, Ayi Jufridar, explained that during the selection of the top eight, there was intense debate when selecting some of the finalists. "However, there were also finalists who were chosen by all the judges, and there was no debate," said Ayi, who also serves as the Public Relations Division Coordinator at the Lhokseumawe City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
The Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Mohd Nasier Husein, mentioned many aspects the judges considered in determining the winners. In addition to the main requirements set by the Language, Public Relations, and Publishing Technical Implementation Unit (UPT BKP) of Malikussaleh University, a panel of judges conducted a psychological analysis to determine the character of participants who were less suited to public relations work.
"These considerations and studies are what forced the jury to carefully consider various aspects," explained Nasier Husein.
The selection of the 2025 Malikussaleh University Public Relations Ambassadors is a selection process for the best students who will become figures who reflect the university's values.
The awarding and awarding of certificates to the Public Relations Ambassadors was conducted by Dr. Teuku Nazaruddin, Head of the Bureau of Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, Information, and Cooperation, and witnessed by the finalists, judges, and students.
In his remarks, Teuku Nazaruddin expressed his appreciation for the event, as it is a crucial milestone in developing Public Relations Ambassadors.
