Aceh Social Services Urged to Strengthen Cross-Sector Coordination and Create One Top Service
The Wali Nanggroe Aceh, His Excellency Tgk. Malik Mahmud Al Haythar, has urged the Aceh Social Services to strengthen cross-sector coordination in an effort to improve the effectiveness of social services throughout Aceh. This affirmation was conveyed during an official audience with the Head of the Aceh Social Services and staff, held at Meuligoe Wali Nanggroe, Banda Aceh, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
"Today, the Head of the Aceh Social Services and his staff came to see me and explained their work and the problems they face. I am pleased we could have this conversation. Hopefully, we can work together. We will reorganize what is lacking, and we will strengthen it so that everything runs smoothly and achieves its goals," said the Wali Nanggroe, accompanied by Special Staff Dr. Muhammad Raviq.
The audience also discussed the commitment to implementing One Data Aceh, which is considered a key foundation for effectively addressing various social welfare issues. The Aceh Social Service outlined a number of priority programs, including social protection, social rehabilitation, social empowerment, assistance for the poor, and disaster management.
The Acting Head of the Aceh Social Service, Chaidir, expressed his gratitude for the Wali Nanggroe's direction and emphasized his department's commitment to strengthening data management and validating beneficiary targets.
"In accordance with the direction, we will validate the data so that all programs for Persons with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) are based on data from the Aceh Social Service. We will mobilize the social pillars to ensure that assistance is targeted and avoids overlapping," said Chaidir.
Zulfikar Idris, Head of Cooperation and Public Relations for Wali Nanggroe, stated that during the meeting, Wali Nanggroe emphasized the importance of a comprehensive evaluation of social program governance and the need to strengthen cooperation so that various social issues can be addressed in a more targeted manner.
The meeting was attended by heads of departments, heads of Regional Technical Implementation Units (UPTD), and all elements of Aceh's social pillars, including TAGANA, TKSK, Karang Taruna, PSM, Pelopor Perdamaian, PKH, and LKKS Aceh. Their presence emphasized the importance of cross-stakeholder collaboration to strengthen data integration, accelerate field responses, and improve the quality of social services.
One important agenda item discussed was the finalization of the Aceh Social Protection Access System (ASPAS)—an integrated digital platform that uses a single identity, the Aceh Social ID (ASID). Through this system, the public can check social assistance, submit service requests, and transparently monitor the distribution process.
The Wali Nanggroe emphasized that system strengthening and collaboration are key to the success of social services in Aceh. "One Data is the foundation for handling social problems in a more measurable, effective, and pro-competent manner," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Chaidir stated that his office would follow up on the Wali Nanggroe's directive, including the establishment of a One Stop Service (OSS) as an integrated social service center that is easily accessible to the public. "The Social Service will encourage support from various parties to ensure optimal integration of Aceh's social data," he added.
The audience concluded with a shared commitment that strengthening One Data Aceh and developing ASPAS are strategic steps towards transforming Aceh's social services to be more modern, integrated, and responsive to the needs of the community.[]
