To the Clinic; then, Malling after...

I never expected that one day I'll get hurt by the one I love...

If you think that's someone, nothing new with it. That is a part of our life, we need to experience how pain felt like at least. But anyway, I'm not talking about a person, I'm talking about our beloved pet dog at home. I got hurt because it accidentally bit my feet when it was surprised when I moved my feet away suddenly.

I earned a scratch and one of his fangs dug down my skin. It didn't bleed and the wounds weren't that deep. It actually healed fast just a few days after the incident. But of course, I need to worry about it and be cautious about rabies. Out of all the trips we've planned to go this month, this unexpected one was the one that came true —a trip to the clinic.

Anyway, I don't blame the dog. I was just being too confident and comfy that we're already friends right after a couple of weeks of moving into the place. He's a good dog, anyway. He was scolded when the incident happened. Poor pup, he hid himself under the sofa; the Patata scared him a little bit. And, he looked like reflecting on his mistake.

It's so funny to watch him days after it happened. He would be looking sorry and quiet while approaching us. When we're busy, he would sit above the chair and stare at nowhere for 3 hours. If he could say he is sorry, maybe he already did for couple of times everyday.

During my checkup, I was asked by the Doctor if he's okay right after that. Honestly, I couldn't tell because he has been quiet most of the time and a little bit distant. He's more than guilty than looking infected by its own rabies.

So, I headed the next day to the clinic and I never expected that it would have a lot of shots. Initially, I was thinking that it would only be anti-tetanus and a shot of anti-rabies, but I was correct on some part, though. It's just that it was multiple shots, 2 for anti-tetanus and 4 anti-rabbies shots. I never have an idea that it could be this complicated for a small wound.

The clinic is located on the fround floor of North Block, the new extension of SM where NU is. The vaccines were too heavy and painful. My shoulders were numb for few days after the first shots. It's hot outside, though. And, it's almost noon when we're done, so went on stroll inside SM City Mall before going home.

A lot of development is going on here. The historical landmark of Bacolod near it is also undergoing reconstruction and is being developed by the management of SM. The vendors are temporarily placed on the stalls made beside the parking lot of the mall. Once the construction is done, they're going back to their original blocks.

Aside from the new stores and food chains inside the North Block, there's no current changes on the North and South Wing. People still flocks here everyday, though. The main reason is the unbeatable heat of summer. It's yet done here. To save electricity at home, it's good to go out and stroll on places that have good ventilation and cool breeze.

Anyway, I was just passing by and sharing a blog. Thanks for reading as always!

Getting vaccinated is the right thing to do! Just to be sure na din. And halata talaga kapag mag nagagawang kasalanan ang dog no, the way they act. As if they are really reflecting on what they did. It's also good na he got punished a bit lang, even if mapag sabihan sila I think they can understand that too.

Oh no! Sometimes it happens. They can get really excited especially when we get home and they tend to jump on us and we get hurt in the process, but that's ok. I am sure they never meant to. I'm glad you got vaccinated. And I miss Bacolod. By the way, I am from Silay City. Ti kamusta dira? Hahaha

I hope you are already feeling better again! Interesting how the dog seems to feel guilty. These animals are much more similar to us humans in many aspects than some might think ...

Yes. I'm feeling good now. His bite didn't hurt that much. The injections are more painful than the bite actually. Thanks for your concern.

As for my dog, he is back to normal, like nothing happened. 😆
