Monts Cafe

When the intention was about the project but my mind was fixed on the food, this happens...

We have called for a meeting on a Sunday afternoon to discuss the requirements for our Capstone Project. Since I was used to work on a graveyard shift, even on weekends, my body clock is still the same —awake at night and asleep during the day. At this time, I didn't have much sleep since I need to meet them at 2pm, so I woke up by noon to prepare myself and headed to our meeting place.

Since @chaeline.gaile wasn't familiar with the place, I waited for her at the downtown area so we could go together. It's only the two of us in the for now because the other one was still overwhelmed with his workload on his other job. Well, we understand. He sent us a budget through Gcash for the meal and drinks instead, as his participation. Ehh? 😅 Anyway, that's fine. At least, he had thought about us.

The meeting place is situated in the Coffee Shop capital of Bacolod. It's not that far from the main road when you jumped off from the front door of the Chinese temple, then turn left and walked for 5 minutes.

I took a selfie before I went, just got bored beside the road. I wore a hoodie because the it has been raining from time to time. Just like when we're already walking towards the cafe, we're in luck since it only drizzles for a while.

Monts Cafe is a small coffee shop here at Villamonte. The location is quite not popular if you're used to the metro but I assure that the drinks and food here are superb.

When we arrived, my friend is already waiting and he is our consultant for this project. Our knowledge isn't quite enough to make this project happen on our own, and we admit that. It was due to some shortcomings of our school's management, but of course, we can't just blame them. A lot of changes was needed to be made and we need to sacrifice a few things, one of those is our Computer Laboratories. Since we migrated to the main campus, our access was limited to none for over year until the project was proposed. We only rely to our own resources which we know couldn't suffice. It's why a consultant is needed aside from our project's Instructor.

Before any discussion could begin, we ordered food and drinks first. As I mentioned, I didn't have any breakfast since I woke up late this time, then went straight here. I ordered something that could satisfy my starving stomach. My friend suggested a bowl of Shawarma Rice.

Just look at their serving for a bowl, it's a mouthwatering delight and affordable.

Since of all them have already eaten aside from me, they have ordered a lemonade and coffee. For my drinks, I had this Vietnamese latte.

We also bought Lumpia for everyone to share. It's meaty and crispy, definitely tastes good. But since I have a bowl to finish, I only ate one. The discussion began while I'm eating. I was listening while munching and savoring the shawarma rice in front of me.

The discussion ended as I finished my meal. We all have considered the changes and commended the work. The only problem there was that the Lumpia was untouched on the table. It's the first time I've seen a Lumpia staying untouched for an hour. Well, it's everyone's favorite, so it's expected to be eaten first. This time, it's the other way around. I had to invite them one by one to try but both of them declined and said they're still full. I gave to our consultant's friend instead and he happily accepted the food.
