LOH #252: Being motivated by passion, profit and independence leads my journey to survival.

I never had it easy, not once and not ever...

I don't blame why I was born into such a difficult life anymore because I realized that no matter how I cry, whine or complain, my questions will never have an answer nor it can can change my fate overnight. Overtime, I learned to appreciate life and be grateful for my parents for letting me see the world.

For years, I've been surviving all by myself. During my lowest times, no one had by back to hold me my hand tight, so I wouldn't fell harder. Those writings that they criticize me about before, the very ones which I was told that couldn't pay my bills. Those were the very writings that saved me from everything.

As for the question:
"Do you see yourself as more motivated by passion, profit, or independence?"

My answer is YES.

I lived through the mercy of my relatives during my teenage years until I know how to survive on my own. At 14 years old, I was already fending for my own needs. Whatever gigs I can do, I'll take it as long as I can earn. Even though I was living with my relatives, I never felt I have a backed up who could help me out. I have a roof above my head but never the food; thus, I work for mine.

Their sharped twisted words were my motivation to do better in life. Those words that felt like a strong slap of reality to my face telling me that I could never do enough, that I will be someone's slave forever for my status and for not treating me like family or even a person at all.

I'm not holding grudges to them for long for I know they became a part of me, too. In fact, I have already forgiven those things that the have done to me. And, I know during the time that I was gone until now, they already have regretted it an wanting me back ever since. However, I wouldn't for the same trap, I have moved on and got different priorities now which strays me away from family drama.

Through those experiences, it made me stronger and for it I have been able to withstand pressure that I could encounter. It motivates me to be passionate in everything that I do, especially in helping others which is also why I was affiliated with volunteer works, charity and community engagement. In my little way, I want people to feel that someone cares for them unlike what I have gone through.

Being motivated by passion, profit and independence, it is what I have also learned from my previous employer back in Manila. The one who taught how to do business and be self-reliant. The same one who never gave up teaching me how to use my earnings well during the pandemic era.

I have made it through until now, on my own without relying on any relatives or family. It has been years and I'm still pursuing my dreams and enjoying independence. All thanks to those horrible childhood experiences, they made me learn a lot in life. It's not something that I want anyone to experience and I really don't like seeing someone to be mistreated. Yet, if you're someone that was in such situation, that might be the only driving force that will help you get out, grow and thrive.

Anyway, whatever situation you may have now, don't ever forget yourself. No matter what happens, you only have yourself to overturn any situations you are in. Be motivated as always and take care!
