Interviews, Orientation and Foods

Recently, I was pretty occupied with interviews from work, email updates and next schedules for the processing of documents and onboarding process. Since I already have registered my name on various required benefits, it was a bit easy for me to submit my numbers to the company. I managed to receive the job offer and attended the orientation on the earliest schedule.

For now, I'm waiting for my first of training. It's like embarking onto an unknown journey once again just like what I have felt on my first job. My previous job and the one I got this time have different job descriptions and target market. So, I'm really back to square one this time, discovering things while summoning all the courage to go on until I get the gist of it. I really hope it goes well this time or even much better than the previous.

Meanwhile, interviews were also going on at our campus-based DRRM office. The juniors were doing pretty well at it and becoming very reliable on the tasks. It's good to know since I'll be busy with my own priorities from hereon and I couldn't be supervise them most of the time now.

By the time I came in, they already have interviewed half of the applicants. I handled one from the interested applicants. No matter how softened my voice and being patient with them, it seems that my badass aura is still leaking behind my back that it made them feel intimidated and nervous in front of me. I was even trying to make jokes to break the ice but in vain. My juniors were laughing at the back while the applicant in front of me is shaking and couldn't speak properly. Like, seriously? 😅

When it's the next applicant's turn, I gave it back to my junior. Funny, 'cause I was the one who trained him before and we're similar on how we speak and think, even the vibes but applicants don't fear him that much. Is it really just me? 🤣 It has been like that for 3 years and moving forward.

Rain poured the entire afternoon and at a time like this, I forgot to bring my umbrella. So we head out early, and decided to dine at their favorite fast food chain to talk for a while longer.

I'm a mushroom in the team. This might be the only time again that I hang out with them after few months. They're like little brothers and sisters to me, that are happy to welcome me home everytime I opened our office door.

A lot happened that day and it's surely exhausting. Everytime something tires me out, I turn to food and I think I'm learning how to stress eat now. That's okay for now, though. It's not happening all the time, because on some days I wouldn't be eating a lot and I still have a faster metabolism on my age. On top of that, I need to add more weight since I'm so close to being underweight now.

We didn't stay that long. The rain outside was still pouring heavier from time to time and we don't have an umbrella. We're gonna get soaked before we get home but at least we're already full. Thanks to these buddies. They always make my day.
