You have taken some spectacular photographs as you always do, that ant is impressive, I don't think I have ever seen that species that has a thorn on its back, it is definitely used to defend itself. You have captured the shape and behaviour as well as the photos. I know that some ants go alone looking for the right thing and then alert the colony to go all together in search of the big loot of food, but I don't think she needs more company.

As for your reflection, I think that humanity is made to be in society, although some people move away from it for various reasons, solitude helps to think, reflect and evolve internally, something that cannot be achieved in the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much for picking up my post and curated it. I appreciate it.
I don't think they could live int he northern hemisphere, as this ant is mostly lived in the tropical area, at least around my place.
