Auyama is what we call pumpkin in Argentina and here in Spain too, and I love it. I remember planting it in my garden, and the ones from my own garden were very tasty. Its branches spread out a lot and can also be ornamental, depending on your taste. We mainly use it for meals and purées, but I know it's also used for desserts and sweets, as you mention. Those plants look beautiful.
I've never tried the seeds the way you mention, but I know they're very good, even medicinally. That's the great thing about them: nothing goes to waste, and they're tasty. La Auyama es lo que en Argentina llamamos calabaza y aquí en España también y me encanta, recuerdo que yo plantaba de ella en mi jardín y eran muy sabrosas las que venían del propio huerto. Sus ramas se extienden mucho y también pueden ser ornamentales, depende del gusto. Sobre todo la usamos para comidas y pure, pero se que también se usa para postres y dulces como mencionas. Esas plantas se ven hermosas.
Nunca he probado las semillas de la manera que mencionas pero se que son muy buenas incluso medicinalmente. Es lo bueno, nada se desperdicia y son sabrosas. Me encantó saber como se usan en tu país, como se llama y que se aprovecha al máximo. Muchas gracias y abrazo!!🤗

Saludos @avdesing, si también se le conoce como calabaza, en Venezuela el nombre común es Auyama, sí sus ramas se extienden por el terreno, la flor tiene un hermoso color y también sirve de alimento para las tortugas al igual que las hojas.
Los postres de Auyama son deliciosos especialmente las torta y ponqué, la torta me encanta, los platos salados también son muy buenos, es también empleada en la preparación de sopas, agrega color y sabor.
las semillas asadas son deliciosas, recuerdo una marca de Snacks sacó una edición surtida de maní con semillas de Auyama, muy buena por cierto.

Auyama desserts are delicious, especially cakes and sponge cakes. I love the cake! Savory dishes are also very good; it's also used in soups, adding color and flavor.
