Back with a new movie from 2025, saw a commercial for it and was ready for some horror style. This is a horror comedy directed by Osgood Perkins, based on Stephen King's short story of the same name.😃

In the movie we follow twin brothers Hal and Bill played by Theo James, who discover a mysterious toy monkey that plays drums and causes brutal deaths every time it is rolled up. Here there is dark humor with grotesque scenes of violence, and themes such as family relationships and human powerlessness in the face of fate are explored. The movie has been praised for its unique mix of humor and horror but also criticized. I thought it was quite okay, I expected better because it is based on Stephen King.. So this was only a 6.
