More of a message than a movie

First of all, saying how much I love this particular topic ehhnnn(y'all won't understand) I'm a sucker for movies.

Give me a good movie and I'll be indoors all day without caring if I scaled into a new day, with food too😁. Having watched a lot of movies I'll say I've learnt a lot of things from the different genres of movies I've seen, raging from comedy, tragicom, down to tragedy. Even cartoons. There was a time I couldn't stand nollywood movies cause they were almost not relatable, how would a theme song just give out the whole plot of the movie before you even start it? But I'm sure a lot of you will agree with me now, when I say the nollywood industry is doing amazingly better that it used to.

Their movies are now quite educative and some are even suspense filled which was once unlike them. There was this Nigeria movie I watched some days back and I was triggered in some sort of way. It was a kind of shift in my spirit that I couldn't explain. It's a Bimbo Ademoye's production wuth the title 'A broken hallelujah'. Those who have seen this movie would possibly know what I mean especially if you're someone who tries to feel what the actor feels when seeing a movie.

A brief summary of the movie yeah, so this married couple were looking and waiting upon God for the fruit of the womb. What started out as an early delay in child bearing from the first year of marriage turned into a heavy burden of that waiting period that made her to question God but still hold onto him firmly. And then there was her husband who was supportive in every step. He's the real definition of getting married to the right person. He stood soliy by her side and even when her faith and strength were wearing off, e was there to encourage her. It wasn't easy for him either especially when things were working well for his colleague/friend who was not married and yet a very chronic womanizer, her had what he was earnestly begging God for (a child) despite his wayward ways. As if dealing with that wasn't enough, this friend was still trying to set him up with a client to just have fun and relax (in his terms). Despite the gravity of the temptation he kept struggling to overcome by the help of the Holy spirit. There was this scene where he went to deliver a cloth to a client and that particular period he was vulnerable, this client was the same lady his colleague was trying to hook him up with, she used her femininity during fitting to seduce cause she could see his vulnerability through his eyes and initiated a kiss which he fell for for a few seconds and like the scripture that says, 'flee youthful lust' he realized what was happening and immediately fled. That was the holy spirit. While his wife kept fighting through this waiting period and each time she was loosing it, her own angel in the form of an old woman comes to her to encourage her in unexpected places. This guiding angel had been with her right from the very beginning, from her days as a child warning her on dangers ahead and so on. The final encounter was the woman giving her babies blankets as a gift and that was the last gift that brought her miracles, her bundles of joy. Indeed, even a broken hallelujah still carries praise!

From the movie I learnt that we just shouldn't get married cause it's the norm or just to anybody, we ought to get married to our own person, our rightfully ordained partner, cause there are times nothing will make sense, even love won't matter, but purpose, purpose is what will hold the fort. Another thing is the fact that, the waiting period isn't as easy as we think it would be, it takes more than revelation to bring that miracle we await. Next is the most important thing, we are not alone in this world, God has assigned angels to guide us through this life and Al we need is to be approachable and just hand it over to God and let him take over the wheel of your life. No mater what, God's purpose and plans for our lives will be fulfilled. We just need to trust him, believe and have faith.
