It Is Where I Feel Safe.

A healthy environment to me is where I feel safe and this involves every aspect of my life from the home to my place of work, to my place of worship, among my friends and family members. Every of these areas has to make me feel safe and all of the individuals around also has to make me feel safe, loved and appreciated.

A healthy environment is really deep, one that I don't have to feel scared of anything or anyone around me, where I don't have to be ashamed. Not just physically alone, but both mental, emotional, spiritual, I mean every aspect. A healthy environment is not just a clean environment without any form of pollution or dirt but one that encompasses all

I am a person that Loves to be happy all the time and I love to have positive energy around me all the time as well because if I don't, it may trigger a crisis but when it becomes difficult for me to smile or when I think I should get a thumbs up and compliment but I get criticism instead, no matter how clean that space is, I can't be okay because I don't feel safe or wanted there and to me, that is not a healthy environment.

I've sat with people I call friends only to get up and leave and I became the new subject of discussion. People I tell my pains and fears to that have to mock me with it later people that don't want me to look or feel beautiful more than they are. People that feel threatened by my little wins. Is that a healthy environment?

Sometimes, my work environment is also not healthy no matter how beautiful it looks in the outside. When everything I do is not appreciated, when my opinion doesn't count, when no matter how much I do, to the superiors I have done nothing, when no one sees the extra effort I put in but are ready to escalate every little mistake I make. I can't call that a healthy environment. It is unhealthy and it affects my mental health.

A home is supposed to be a safe heaven for everyone where you can bask in your own safe space, where you can let down your guard and just feel safe, where you call yours and just have peace from all the hustle and bustle of life. I don't feel that in mine anymore and it has become the most unhealthy environment I can ever be in.

I think no matter how hard you try to make an environment healthy, when the people or factors that makes it unhealthy are still present, it can never be healthy no matter what you do about it. The only thing is to move away from all of it and guard subsequently.
