Splinterlands Community Challenge - My Splinterlands Learning Journey [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. This time I want to share with you my learning journey in Splinterlands, which began in July 2020. It's been 5 years, and I've had many battles, gaining a lot of experience. In this post, l will also share some tips I wish I'd known when I first started playing.

When I started, I learned the game mechanics in the How to Play section: https://splinterlands.com/how-to-play. Now that I realize it, this section should be more colorful or bigger, because it's hard to see, at least for me.

This will help you learn everything you need to know about card types, elements, stats and positioning.

But there is a much more fun way to learn this. On June 3rd of this year, the Campaign mode was introduced in Splinterlands, so now you can learn the mechanics of the game by playing this interactive mode. This mode is PvE and currently has 12 chapters. When you complete a chapter, you will obtain some Foundation cards (new set) that can only be obtained through this method.

Learning to play is, of course, the most important thing if you want to be a splinterlands player. You can buy and/or rent cards. I recommend renting them before buying them, so you can test the cards and see if you like them or not. Most of the cards are useful, but some are rarely used. First you will need some archons which are needed to summon units, then you can rent some units. Peakmonsters is really useful for renting cards in a simpler and faster way; just log in with the same Splinterlands account.

I recommend playing in the modern ranked format instead of wild mode, but it's up to you. In the Modern ranked you can only use cards from the two most recent sets, which are currently Rebellion and Conclave Arcana. While in the Wild mode, you can use any card available in Splinterlands, from Alpha (the first set) to Conclave Arcana (last set). And in order to play in Wild mode, you will first need to pay for the Wild pass, which costs 2000 DEC each season.

After each battle won, you will earn staked SPS and Glint based on your current staked SPS. Glint is very useful and the first way to get soulbound rebellion cards, which are great. Soulbound cards are bounded to your account and can be released by paying their DEC cost, which is currently the power of the card multiplied x20. For example soulbound legendary cards have a power of 500, so I would need to pay 10,000 DEC for this card in oder to sell it, transfer it, delegated it, etc. Therefore, soulbound cards in the market are priced high, so it is better to obtain glint and buy them from the Glint shop.

In the Glint shop, you can purchase not only rarity draws containing Rebellion soulbound cards, but there are also loot chests, and the higher the rarity, the better the loot. These chests contain soulbound rebellion cards, potions, merits, energy and a very small chance of winning the Jackpot, which can include titles, land tokens, booster packs, and more.

You can also purchase merits, which are useful for purchasing gladius packs. These packs contain gladius units that can only be used when the Are you not Entertained modifier is active, allowing players to use a gladius unit. Or if you use an archon that has the Conscript ability, which also allows the use of a gladius.

And finally, in the Glint shop, you can purchase energy, which is necessary to play battles. And legendary and alchemy potions that increase the chance of getting higher rarity cards in your opening packs.

Hola a todos, que tengan un buen día y buenas batallas. En esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes mi aventura de aprendizaje en Splinterlands, que comenzó en julio de 2020. Han pasado 5 años y he librado muchas batallas, adquiriendo mucha experiencia. En esta publicación, tambien compartiré algunos consejos que desearía haber sabido cuando empecé a jugar.

Cuando comenze, aprendí la mecánica del juego en la sección "How to Play": https://splinterlands.com/how-to-play. Ahora que me doy cuenta, esta sección deberia ser más colorido o más grande, porque es difícil de ver, al menos para mí.

Esto te ayudará a aprender todo lo que necesitas saber sobre los tipos de cartas, elementos, estadísticas y posicionamiento.

Pero hay una forma mucho más divertida de aprender esto. El pasado 3 de junio de este año, se introdujo el modo Campaña en Splinterlands, así que ahora puedes aprender las mecánicas del juego jugando a este modo interactivo. Este modo es PvE y actualmente cuenta con 12 capítulos. Al completar un capítulo, obtendrás algunas cartas de Foundation (nuevo set) que solo se pueden obtener mediante este método.

Aprender a jugar es, por supuesto, lo más importante si quieres ser jugador de Splinterlands. Puedes comprar o alquilar cartas. Recomiendo jugar en el formato clasificatorio moderno en lugar del modo salvaje, pero es tu decisión. En el modo clasificatorio moderno solo puedes usar cartas de las dos colecciones más recientes: Rebellion y de Conclave Arcana.
