Splinterlands Challenge — Lira the Dark VS Olivia of the Brook
Hello everyone, this time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will show you a battle in the modern ranked league where all ranged and magic units except those that are in the first position will attack random enemies.
First let's talk a little bit about Lira the Dark, a death element unit from the chaos edition that I will be using in this battle, she costs 7 mana and has a ranged attack power of 4 at max level.
Lira the Dark has the Opportunity ability, which allows her to attack the lowest health enemy unit if possible. She also has the Snare ability, so if Lira attacks flying units, they will lose their flying ability. Lira's attacks against flying units have a 100% chance to hit.
At level 3, she gains the Swiftness ability, which increases the speed of all allies by 1 while she is alive.

BATTLE
Like many battles in the diamond and champion league, there will be 3 active rulesets this time.
The Deflection Field ruleset, which allows all units to gain the Reflection Shield ability, so they will not take damage from sources such as Thorns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire. The Aimless ruleset, as I mentioned before, all ranged and magic units will attack randomly. Finally, the Ferocity ruleset, causes all units to deal double damage to Taunt units.

I decided to choose the summoner, Cryptic, and grant the Poison and Expose ability to two of my units. Additionally, enemy units will be cursed with Blind, having a 15% chance to miss their attacks, and lose -1 speed.
In the first position, the powerful Djinn Oshannus, who takes 50% less magic damage and can dodge magical attacks. In addition, thanks to his Forcefield ability, attacks against him that deal 5 or more damage will only deal 1 damage instead.
In the second position, Arachne Weaver ( I leveled it up to max this season), who will heal other allied units for 70% of their max health each round. Units healed by this effect lose 1 max health. Additionally it gains +1 max health when any unit dies, and his attacks have a 50% chance to apply poison to the target unit.
Deeplurker, like Arachne, can apply Poison to its attacks. It also has the Opportunity ability, attacking the enemy unit with the lowest health. Additionally, it will reduce the attack of enemy melee units by 1.
Then Venari Marksrat, who upon death will grant adjacent units +1 to all stats. At its side is Lira the Dark, ready to destroy some units.
Finally, Pelacor Bandit in the last position will attack the enemy unit that is in the last position. I put Pelacor here, so that possible enemy sneak units will attack it before my other units. He has 7 speed and the flying ability, so sneak melee units will have a hard time defeating it.
In the first round, Lira the Dark applies Poison to Djinn Renova. Deeplurker also poisons Aves Sturgis. Aves Sturgis defeats Venari Marksrat, so Lira and Deeplurker gain +1 to all stats.
In the second round, Djinn Oshannus poisons Grimbardun Smith and removes his Void ability, making him vulnerable to magic attacks. Then, Deeplurker defeats enemy Aves Sturgis, but is resurrected due to Adelade. After that, Arachne Weaver poisons enemy Olivia. Enemy Djinn Renova defeats my Pelacor Bandit.
In the third round, Lira the Dark defeats Adelade Brightwing. Then Aves Sturgis defeats Deeplurker.
In the fourth round, Lira eliminates Olivia. And Djinn Oshannus defeats Grimbardun Smith. Arachne Weaver poisons enemy Albahoo Forester.
In the fifth round, Aves Sturgis is defeated by the poison. And Arachne Weaver destroys Djinn Renova.
In the sixth and final round, the damaged Lira ends the battle by destroying Albahoo.

In this battle, Lira the dark showed a very good performance, being able to destroy 3 enemy units. The Poison ability provided by Cryptic to Djinn Oshannus and Lira was very useful, causing all enemies to become poisoned during battle.
The opponent summoned a whole team of magical creatures but it wasn't enough to defeat my units. Arachne Weaver was key, as if it weren't for it, my units wouldn't be able to heal and woud have been defeated much sooner. I won the battle with 3 units alive.
