Splinterlands Challenge — Jared Scar VS Djinn Oshannus
Cover made using images and elements from Splinterlands.
Hello everyone, this time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will be showing you a battle in the modern ranked league, one of which, all melee units in the backline will attack the enemy unit that is in the last position.
First, let's talk a little bit about Jared Scar, a legendary earth unit from the Chaos edition, who has an incredible attack power of 7 and the unit that will shine the most in this battle.

Source
Jared Scar is a powerful melee unit with a mana cost of 7. He is one of only 6 units that have the Bloodlust ability that is not a gladius unit. In total, he has 3 abilities, making him an exceptional creature on the battlefield.
Jared Scar starts with the BLOODLUST ability at level 1, which allows him to gain +1 to all stats whenever he defeats an enemy unit, so you'd better not mess with him.
At level 2 he gains the TRUE STRIKE ability, which allows him to never miss an attack, a perfect ability against those with greater speed and dodging skills.
And at level 3, Jared gains the PIERCING ability, which allows him to deal damage to the target's health if his attack exceeds the target's armor.
Eternal Tofu is the main threat to Jared Scar, because this cat grants the Thorns ability and can also grant the Corrosive Ward ability to their units, which are abilities that negatively affect melee units like Jared.
Units with the THORNS ability deal 2 physical damage to any melee unit that attacks them.
Units with the CORROSIVE WARD ability, reduce the armor and max armor of the melee unit attacking them. This effect is really bad for Jared as he will not gain armor after defeating a unit, as his max armor may be reduced to 0.
Jared Scar has great strength but is very slow, as he only has 2 speed. So when the REVERSE SPEED modifier is active, it benefits him a lot, allowing him to attack early and those units with higher speed attack last.
HOW TO OBTAIN
Available on the market. At the time of writing this post, a max level Jared Scar costs $7.49 (each BCX $0.68) and a level 1 costs $0.75.
And a max level golden foil costs $158 (each BCX $39.50), and a level 2 costs $39.60.

BATTLE
There are two modifiers active this time. The first is the Aim True modifier, which will grant the True Strike ability to all units, giving them a 100% to hit their attacks. And the second one is the Super Sneak modifier, which as I mentioned at the beggining, all melee units that are not in the frontline position are forced to attack the enemy unit that is in the last position.

I'm playing with my langice account. This time, the great Eternal Tofu will be my summoner, which grants +2 health, the Snare (units will remove the flying ability of the target unit) and the Thorns ability to my units. Additionally, I choose the left-tactic of Tofu and give the Corrosive Ward and the Divine Shield ability to my first two units and my last position unit.
Grimbardun Smith in the first position, who takes 50% less damage from melee and magic attacks thanks to his Shield and Void abilities. He is also immune to negative effects such as poison. In addition, repairs 2 armor points to an allied unit each turn.
In the second position I put Lord Thanalor, who will increase the damage of the thorns provided by Tofu by 1 thanks to his Amplify ability. Also, he will gain +1 max health each time a unit is defeated and passively reduce the armor of the enemy units by 2.
In the third position is Goblin Psychic, who will restore the health of my frontline unit each turn. And their attacks have a 50% chance to apply affliction (cannot be healed) and a 100% chance to dispel (remove positive effects) the enemy target. Also, he reduces the magic attack of enemies by 1.
Jared Scar will be in the fourth position, ready to increase his strength with each unit he defeats.
In the fourth position, Halfling Refugee, currently the most powerful 1 mana unit, as he has great attack power and health for only 1 mana. He can also restore his health for a third of his max health each turn, unless his Weary ability triggers, which prevents him from making any movement.
Grimbardun Fighter in the last position, who has Shield, allowing him to take 50% less damage from melee attacks. He also has the Corrosive Ward ability on his own, and the Deflect ability, so he is not affected by the corrosive ward, thorns and blast abilities.
In the first round, the frontline units on both sides suffered damaged, including the enemy Commander Slade, but none were defeated. And my Grimbardun Smith loses the immune and void ability, and is poisoned due to Delya's expose and poison abilities when she attacks him.
In the second round, Merdaali Guardian defeats my Grimbardun Smith. Then, Jared Scar eliminates his first victim, Commander Slade.
In the third round, Delya is defeated by Jared Scar, gaining more stats thanks to his Bloodlust ability.
In the fourth round, Daarg Deadblast defeats my Lord Thanalor. After that, Jared Scar destroys Merdaali Guardian. And my Goblin Psychic defeats Djinn Oshannus.
In the fifth round, Jared Scar defeats Daarg Deadblast. And in the sixth round, Daigendark Surveyor is defeated by Jared, ending the battle.

Full Battle
The opponent used Cryptic which granted the Expose and Poison abilities to his Djinn Oshannus and Delya, so they had an 80% chance to remove defensive abilities from their target unit and a 50% chance to apply poison to them, because of this my Grimbardun Smith was defeated quite quickly.
I took advantage of the Super Sneak modifier, which allowed my melee units to attack the enemy in the last position unit, avoiding the defensive Djinn Oshannus, this was great as I was able to destroy Delya early who, otherwise, if she were alive for more turns, could destroy my frontline units.
In this battle Jared Scar really shined, being able to destroy 5 of the 6 enemy units starting from the second round, gaining more stats each time he defeated one thanks to his Bloodlust, reaching up to 12 melee attack power after defeating the last enemy. This time four units managed to survive.
That's all for now guys, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
