Hello everyone, this time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will be showing you a battle in the modern ranked league, one of which, only units and summoners that cost 4 mana or less will be able to be in the battle.

It will be a battle where all my units will fall against the enemies, with Doctor Blight being the only one left on my team. Doctor Blight is a legendary neutral chaos unit, probably the best 4 mana mage; being a neutral unit, he is excellent for any deck.

Doctor Blight is one of only 2 magic units in the Chaos legion set that has 5 abilities, the other one is Adelade. It has a good combination of abilities to weaken the enemy unit, making him a great choice to be in many battles.

Doctor Blight starts with only 1 magic attack power at level 1 and has the AFFLICTION ability, which gives him a 50% chance to apply Afflicted to his target, preventing them from healing.

At level 1, he also has the CAMOUFLAGE ability, which allows him, if he is in the backline, to not be directly attacked, so units with opportunity, sneak or snipe will avoid him.

At level 2, he gains the POISON ability, giving him a 50% chance to apply poisoned to the enemy unit, causing it to lose 2 health at the begginning of each turn.

At level 3, Doctor Blight gains +1 magic attack power and the SCAVENGER ability, so he can now gain +1 max health after a unit is defeated.

And at level 4, he gains the WEAKEN ability, which while Doctor is alive will reduce the max health of the enemy units by 1.

Since Doctor Blight only has 1 speed, he is excellent in the REVERSE SPEED modifier, as it reverses the attack order, so units with the highest speed will attack last, and those with the lowest speed will attack first, and have a better chance of dodging attacks.

BATTLE

There are three modifiers active this time. The first is the Little League modifier, which only allows units and summoners with 4 or less mana to be played. Then, the Equalizer modifier, which sets the base health of all units equal to that of the unit on either team with the highest base health. Finally, the Fire & Regret modifier, which will damage the ranged units when they attack by 50% of the damage they deal.

This time I decided to chooce Thaddius Brood, who reduces the magic attack power and the health of all enemy units by 1. Only earth and death elements were available this battle, so I opted for the death summoner since I think it has better options in low mana battles.

Xenith Monk is in the first position, who will heal himself for a third max of his health each turn. Also, he takes 50% less damage from magic attacks thanks to his Void ability, and also reflect magic attacks due to his Magic Reflect ability.

Next up, Shadow Snitch, which can attack from the second position thanks to its Reach ability. It also has a 50% chance to apply afflicted to the enemy unit; and has a 25% extra chance to avoid melee and ranged attacks.

Dark Arborist in the third position, who will reduce the melee attack of the enemy units by 1. Additionally, he has the Magic Reflect and Void abilities.

In the fourth position, Revealer, who has a 50% chance to stun the enemy target, skipping its turn. Also, he is immune to negative effects and is not affected by Magic Reflect or Blast effects.

Venari Bonesmith in the fifth position, who will increase its health and max health by 50% of the damage dealt to enemy target. And removes possitive buffs with each attack, and can also apply poison.

Doctor Blight in the last position, ready to show off his magical powers.

In the first round, the enemy Broken Earth Thug defeats my Venari Bonesmith. Then, Wailing Wraith destroys my Xenith Monk. After that, Revealer defeats the enemy Xenith Monk. And Doctor Blight applies poison to Wailing Wraith.

Full Battle

In this battle, the opponent used Waka SpiritBlade, who grants the ability to poison all of his allies. He also played with Xenith Monk and Doctor Blight as I did. And he played with some great melee units that destroyed 3 of my units very quickly.

Even though many of my units had magic attack and the opponent had Xenith Monk in the frontline, who takes less damage from magic, I was able to defeat that unit in the first round, which was great bceause otherwise I would have lost.

As the battle progressed, units from both teams were destroyed one by one. The enemy had a slight advantage over my units, but thanks to Revealer's stun and Doctor Blight's poison, I was able to stop them a little bit. In the end, all my units except Doctor Blight were defeated, and the enemy still had 2 enemy units left. But thanks to my Doctor Blight, who poisoned the enemy Doctor earlier, I was able to defeat him first and therefore the ranged unit, winning the battle.

That's all for now guys, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
