Splinterlands Challenge — Continuum Seer VS Silverblade Fighter

v.png

Hello everyone, this time I will be participating in this Splinterland Challenge, where I will be showing you a battle in the modern ranked league, one of which, only common and rare units will be allowed to be summoned on the battlefield.

First, let's talk a little bit about Continuum Seer, a magic fire rebellion unit, the fastest in the modern league at max level, and one of the units I will be using in this battle.

Source

Continuum Seer may only have 2 health and 1 armor, but she is the fire unit with the highest magic attack power that has 4 or less mana.

She starts at level 1 with the BACKFIRE ability, which damages the enemy attacker if their attack against her fails, taking 2 physical damage.

And at level 3, she gains the PHASE ability, which allows her to evade attacks from magic units as if they were melee or ranged attacks. Very useful allowing the survival of this unit.

I love using this card, it's very fast, and because of this enemy units will almost never hit her, of course sometimes when the RNG is very bad the enemy units manages to hit her, but it doesn't happen normally.

WEAKNESSES

Of course there are some abilities that are great against Continuum Seer:

Units with the TRUE STRIKE ability cannot miss any attack, so the 8 speed of Continuum Seer will not be a problem for them.

Units with the MAGIC REFLECT ability, will return 50% (rounded up) of the damage they take of magic units such as Continuum Seer, and since she has low HP, she can be defeated fairly quickly due to this.

Also, if the REVERSE SPEED modifier is active, as the name implies, the more speed the units have the worse, they will attack last and will have much less chance to evade attacks.

HOW TO OBTAIN

Currently available in the Glint Shop, in exchange for some Glints obtained in ranked battles. You can try your luck by buying the Rare Draw (100% chance to get one soulbound rebellion rare card, there are 12) or Loot Chests (any chest has a 33% of a reward card, and the reward card has a 20% chance to be a rare one).

Or you can buy a Continuum Seer directly from the market, but there are currently only level 1, each for $0.33.

And it is currently not available in golden foil for sale.

BATTLE

There are three modifiers active this time. The first is the Melee Mayhem modifier, which allows all melee units to attack from any position. Also, all units will have the Blast ability, allowing them to deal half damage to the adjacent units they attack due to the Explosive Weaponry modifier. Finally, only common and rare units will be allowed to be summoned.

I'm playing with my langice account. In this battle I decided to use Jacek as my summoner to take advatange of the Blast ability, since Jacek grants the Scattershot ability to my ranged and magic units, and therefore they attack randomly having a higher chance of attacking enemy backline units and will damage more units thanks to the Blast effect. Additionally, my units will gain +2 speed and the Piercing ability, whose excess damage to the target's armor is applied to the health.

In the first position is Chaos Agent, who has a 25% extra chance to evade melee and ranged attacks, and can also evade magic attacks thanks to his Phase ability. Also, he has the Backfire ability.

In the second position is Grimbardun Smith, who will take 50% less damage from all types of attacks and has immunity to negative effects such as poison. Aditionally, repair 2 armor points to an ally each turn.

Molten Ash Golem in the fourth position, which can attack from the first position thanks to its Close Range ability. Also, it reduces the health of all enemy units and reduce the melee attack of enemy units by 1.

In the fourth position is Djinn Apprentice, a ranged magic unit with the Deathblow ability, which allows it to deal double damage if its target is the only unit on the enemy team.

Supply Runner in the fifth position, who will passively increase the health and speed of all allies by 1.

And in the last position, the protagonist of the battle, Continuum Seer who is ready to destroy some enemy units.

In the first round, the enemy Commander Slade destroys my Chaos Agent by dealing 12 damage.

In the second round, Continuum Seer attacks Commander Slade and defeats Merdaali Guardian due to the Blast ability. Also, my Djinn Apprentice defeats Commander Slade. After that, Silverblade Fighter defeats my Molten Ash Golem.

In the third round, Djinn Apprentice defeats the enemy Hardy Stonefish thanks to the Blast. And the enemy Silverblade Fighter gets a double kill by defeating my Grimbardun Smith and Djinn Apprentice.

In the fourth round, Continuum Seer defeats the enemy Nimbledook Explorer. And the enemy Ujurak Elder defeats my Supply Runner. Now my Continuum Seer is alone and only has 1 HP.

In the fifth round, Continuum Seer defeats the enemy Ujurak Elder thanks to the Blast. And luckily for me Silverblade Fighter misses his attack against her, so Continuum Seer's Backfire ability triggers and deals 2 damage to the Fighter, defeating him and ending the battle.

This was a very close battle, either side could win, but this time I was luckier than my opponent and managed to defeat the strongest enemy unit in the second round, which gave me a huge advantage.

But anyway, the enemy units managed to attack and destroy all my units except my Continuum Seer, who survived with 1 HP.

Continuum Seer has a naturally high speed and thanks to Jacek, who increased her speed by +2, she reached a speed of 10, meaning it was almost impossible to attack her. Thank to this, in the last round, she manages to dodge Silverblade Fighter's attack and thus took 2 damage due to the Backfire ability, ending the battle. Continuum Seer with 1 HP was the only unit that survived this time.

That's all for now guys, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
