My experience using the Market DCA feature to buy Colony tokens on DSWAP.TRADE

In my previous post about Dswap.Trade (a platform that allows users to trade their hive tokens for any other token they wish), I made a purchase using the Market DCA feature. I spent 10 Hive to buy Colony tokens (to increase my earning in Moonkarts). This feature allows me to place orders at regular intervals, every minute, hour, day, week or month. I decided to place 4 orders, which execute every 8 hours, so 2.5 Hive will give me X amount of Colony tokens based on the current market price.

In the first order, I received 1918.44 Colony tokens, pretty good, but in the second order I got 1782.658 colony. And in the last two transactions, I received the same amount of colony tokens, 1782.684. So, in total I received 7,266.466 Colony tokens.

On the other hand, if on that day, which was June 13, I had used the swap feature using the same amount of Hive, I would have received around 7692 colony tokens, a total of 400 Colony more.

But, currently, at the moment of writing this post, using the Swap feature would give me 7148 colony tokens, much less than before. This happens because the price of Colony tokens has increased a bit, so I would need more Hive to get the same amount as before.

This time I didn't get many Colony tokens using the Market DCA feature, I would have just used the swap and gotten 400 more colony tokens that day, but it was still a great experience. Of course, this is just one case and it doesn't mean I will always get the same amount of tokens. It always depends on the price movement of the token, whether many or few people are buying or selling, but I feel that, in the long run, Market DCA gives better results than just using the swap.

Now, thanks to these Colony tokens obtained, I have 26,111 Colony tokens staked :D. That's all for now guys, take care.
