Hey everyone!

It's time for the Golems in Gods Unchained, which are animated anthropomorphic beings in Jewish folklore, that are created entirely from inanimate matter, usually clay, mud or a similar material. Unfortunately, they are not used much in the game, as they have average effects for a high mana cost.

Without further ado, let's begin:

SourceSource

Trojan Golem may only have 2/1 stats, but when destroyed, it summons a Injured Soldier, who takes 1 damage when it enters the board, but will at least be a creature of 1/1 with frontline.

By the way, the Trojan is the only Golem that belongs to the Olympian Tribe. While all other Golems are Atlanteans.

SourceSourceSource
It is currently the most used Golem in ranked battles, as it has a great effect for only 3 mana. This golem has Ward and, when summoned, will give ward to another Atlantean of your choice. This is good, as it negates 1 source of non-attack damage. This Golem's effects only trigger when there are at least two allied creatures on the board when it is summoned, it gives the twin strike effect to a random one and the other will not be able to attack. It would be great if it allowed you to choose who gets the twin strike. Still, it could be great if silence effects appeared in the future, removing the creature's text.Devouring Golem cares nothing for others, not even its own Atlantean allies, if anyone stands in its way, it will destroy them. If Devourer Golem starts the turn with any other allied Atlantean, it will destroy it, but at least increase its own stats by 3.

SourceSource
It's one of only two 5 mana creatures that have higher stats, the other one is The Rotten One, also with 8/8 stats. The advantage of this Golem is that it cannot attack, but it can when you cast any spell during that turn.Manathirst Golem only starts with 5/5 stats, but it can gain +1/+1 stats whenever you cast a spell, so the more you cast, the stronger it will become.

SourceSource
Currentlly, the 6 mana creature that have the highest stats, despite having high attack, has no negative effect. It attacks a random enemy creature at the start of its turn, but I don't think that counts as a bad thing, in fact, it's great. Unless this effect counts as its only attack per turn.Thaunmetic Golem is the only one golem that has Hidden, unable to receive direct attacks from the enemies, and will also give +1 strength to all its friendly Atlanteans at the end of its turn. So, if it survives a few turns, it will further increase the strength of its Atlanteans.

SourceSource
The Howler Golem may only have 5/5 stats for a 7 mana creature, but when summoned thanks to its roar effect, it will deal 2 damage to each enemy creature. Also, when this Golem enter the board it gains protected.Tome Golem is the only creature that allows the player to draw four cards. This effect is activated thanks to its Roar effect. Unfortunately, it costs 8 mana, so it's not used at all.

SPELLS

SourceSource

The Grass Roots spell can turn the battle in your favor by transforming an annoying enemy creature into a 0/5 Golem, this summoned golem has frontline and regen 5, but at least it has no attack. This spell may not be the best against magic decks that focus on spells, but it's really great against high mana creatures.

SourceSource

This 6 mana spell, lets you to pull two random enemy creatures to the controller's hand, so I don't think it's a bad spell. And also, a Sleeper Golem will be summoned on your board, it may have no effect, or be the strongest, but at least it can attack, so I'm fine with that.

Do you like Golem creatures? Which one is your favorite?

Mine is the Phase Touched Golem, as it helps a lot to protect the Atlanteans by giving them the Ward effect, and it only costs 3 mana. In my opinion, it is the best golem and one of the best Atlantean units.
